Psalm 37:1-11

Delight Yourself in Yahweh

Of David.

Aleph

37 (A)Do not fret because of evildoers,
Be not (B)envious toward doers of unrighteousness.
For they will (C)wither quickly like the grass
And (D)fade like the green herb.

Beth

(E)Trust in Yahweh and do good;
(F)Dwell in the land and [a](G)cultivate faithfulness.
(H)Delight yourself in Yahweh;
And He will (I)give you the desires of your heart.

Gimel

(J)Commit your way to Yahweh,
Trust in Him, and He will do it.
He will bring forth (K)your righteousness as the light
And your judgment (L)as the noonday.

Daleth

Be still in Yahweh and (M)wait [b]patiently for Him;
(N)Do not fret because of him who (O)prospers in his way,
Because of the man who carries out schemes of wickedness.

He

Cease from anger and (P)forsake wrath;
Do not fret; it leads only to evildoing.
For (Q)evildoers will be cut off,
But those who hope for Yahweh, they will (R)inherit the land.

Vav

10 Yet (S)a little while and the wicked man will be no more;
You will look carefully at (T)his place, and he will not be there.
11 But (U)the lowly will inherit the land
And will delight themselves in (V)abundant peace.

Psalm 37:39-40

Tav

39 But the (A)salvation of the righteous is from Yahweh;
He is their strength (B)in time of distress.
40 (C)Yahweh helps them and protects them;
He (D)protects them from the wicked and saves them,
Because they (E)take refuge in Him.

Genesis 43:16-34

Joseph Sees Benjamin

16 Then Joseph saw Benjamin with them and said to his (A)house steward, “Bring the men into the house, and slay an animal and prepare it; for the men are to eat with me at noon.” 17 So the man did as Joseph said and [a]brought the men to Joseph’s house. 18 And the men were afraid because they were brought to Joseph’s house; and they said, “It is because of the money that was returned in our sacks the first time that we are being brought in, that he may [b]seek occasion against us and fall upon us and take us for slaves with our donkeys.” 19 So they came near to Joseph’s house steward and spoke to him at the entrance of the house, 20 and they said, “Oh, my lord, we indeed came down the first time to buy food, 21 and it happened when we came to the lodging place, that we opened our sacks, and behold, (B)each man’s money was in the mouth of his sack, our money in [c]full. So (C)we have brought it back in our hand. 22 We have also brought down other money in our hand to buy food; we do not know who put our money in our sacks.” 23 And he said, “[d]Be well, do not be afraid. (D)Your God and the God of your father has given you treasure in your sacks; your money has come to me.” Then (E)he brought Simeon out to them. 24 Then the man brought the men into Joseph’s house and (F)gave them water, and they (G)washed their feet; and he gave their donkeys fodder. 25 So they prepared (H)the present [e]for Joseph’s coming at noon; for they had heard that they were to eat [f]a meal there.

26 Then Joseph came home, and they brought into the house to him the present which was in their hand and (I)bowed to the ground before him. 27 And he asked them about their [g]well-being and said, “(J)Is your old father [h]well, of whom you spoke? Is he still alive?” 28 And they said, “Your servant our father is well; he is still alive.” (K)They bowed down and prostrated themselves. 29 Then he lifted his eyes and saw his brother Benjamin, his mother’s son. And he said, “Is this (L)your youngest brother, of whom you spoke to me?” And he said, “(M)May God be gracious to you, my son.” 30 And Joseph hurried out for [i](N)he was deeply stirred with compassion over his brother, and he sought a place to weep; and he entered his chamber and (O)wept there. 31 Then he washed his face and came out; and he (P)restrained himself and said, “Set the [j]meal.” 32 So they set the meal for him by himself, and for them by themselves, and for the Egyptians who ate with him by themselves, because the Egyptians could not eat bread with the Hebrews, for that is (Q)an abomination to the Egyptians. 33 And they [k]were seated before him, (R)the firstborn according to his birthright and the youngest according to his youth, and the men looked at one another in astonishment. 34 And he took portions to them from [l]his own table, (S)but Benjamin’s portion was five times greater than any of theirs. So they feasted and drank freely with him.

Romans 8:1-11

The Spirit of God Dwells in You

Therefore there is now no (A)condemnation for those who are (B)in (C)Christ Jesus. For (D)the law of the Spirit of life [a]in (E)Christ Jesus (F)has set you free from the law of sin and of death. For (G)what the Law could not do, [b](H)weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in (I)the likeness of [c]sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, so that the (J)righteous requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who (K)do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on (L)the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, (M)the things of the Spirit. (N)For the mind set on the flesh is (O)death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace, because the mind set on the flesh is at (P)enmity toward God, for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, and those who are (Q)in the flesh are not able to please God.

However, you are not (R)in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God (S)dwells in you. But (T)if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. 10 (U)But if Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is [d]alive because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of Him who (V)raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, (W)He who raised (X)Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies [e]through His Spirit who dwells in you.
