Psalm 119:9-16

Beth

How can a young man keep his way pure?
By (A)keeping it according to Your word.
10 With (B)all my heart I have sought You;
Do not let me (C)stray from Your commandments.
11 Your word I have (D)treasured in my heart,
That I may not sin against You.
12 Blessed are You, O Yahweh;
(E)Teach me Your statutes.
13 With my lips I have (F)recounted
All the (G)judgments of Your mouth.
14 I have (H)rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies,
[a]As much as in all riches.
15 I will (I)muse upon Your precepts
And look upon (J)Your ways.
16 I shall [b](K)delight in Your statutes;
I shall (L)not forget Your word.

Haggai 2:1-9

The Glory of Yahweh Will Fill the Temple

On the twenty-first of the seventh month, the word of Yahweh came by the hand of (A)Haggai the prophet saying, “Speak now to (B)Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, (C)governor of Judah, and to (D)Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and to the (E)remnant of the people saying, ‘Who among you (F)remains who saw this house in its (G)former glory? And how do you see it now? Does it not seem like nothing in your eyes? But now, (H)be strong, Zerubbabel,’ declares Yahweh, ‘be strong also, Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and all you people of the land, be strong,’ declares Yahweh, ‘and work; for (I)I am with you,’ declares Yahweh of hosts. ‘As for the [a](J)promise which I cut with you when you came out of Egypt, [b]My (K)Spirit is standing in your midst; (L)do not fear!’ For thus says Yahweh of hosts, ‘(M)Once more—[c]in a (N)little while—I am going to (O)shake the heavens and the earth, the sea also and the dry land. And I will shake (P)all the nations; and [d]they will come with the (Q)desirable things of all nations, and I will (R)fill this house with glory,’ says Yahweh of hosts. ‘The (S)silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,’ declares Yahweh of hosts. ‘The latter (T)glory of this house will be greater than the (U)former,’ says Yahweh of hosts, ‘and in this place I will give (V)peace,’ declares Yahweh of hosts.”

Haggai 2:20-23

Yahweh Chooses Zerubbabel

20 Then the word of Yahweh came a second time to Haggai on the (A)twenty-fourth day of the month, saying, 21 “Speak to (B)Zerubbabel governor of Judah, saying, ‘I am going to (C)shake the heavens and the earth. 22 I will (D)overthrow the thrones of kingdoms and destroy the (E)strength of the kingdoms of the [a]nations; and I will (F)overthrow the chariots and their riders, and the (G)horses and their riders will go down, (H)everyone by the sword of another.’ 23 ‘On that day,’ declares Yahweh of hosts, ‘I will take you, Zerubbabel, son of Shealtiel, My servant,’ declares Yahweh, ‘and I will make you like a [b](I)signet ring, for (J)I have chosen you,’” declares Yahweh of hosts.

John 12:34-50

34 The crowd then answered Him, “We have heard from (A)the Law that (B)the [a]Christ is to remain forever; and how do You say, ‘The (C)Son of Man must be (D)lifted up’? Who is this (E)Son of Man?” 35 So Jesus said to them, (F)For a little while longer (G)the Light is among you. (H)Walk while you have the Light, so that darkness will not overtake you; he who (I)walks in the darkness does not know where he goes. 36 While you have the Light, (J)believe in the Light, so that you may become (K)sons of Light.”

These things Jesus spoke, and He went away and [b](L)hid Himself from them. 37 But though He had done so many [c]signs before them, they still were not believing in Him, 38 so that the word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spoke: “[d](M)Lord, who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the [e]Lord been revealed?” 39 For this reason they could not believe, for Isaiah said again, 40 (N)He has blinded their eyes and He (O)hardened their heart, lest they see with their eyes and understand with their heart, and return and I heal them.” 41 These things Isaiah said because (P)he saw His glory, and (Q)he spoke about Him. 42 Nevertheless (R)many even of (S)the rulers believed in Him, but (T)because of the Pharisees they were not confessing Him, [f]for fear that they would be (U)put out of the synagogue; 43 (V)for they loved the glory of men rather than the glory of God.

44 And Jesus cried out and said, (W)He who believes in Me, does not believe in Me but in Him who sent Me. 45 (X)And he who sees Me sees the One who sent Me. 46 (Y)I have come as Light into the world, so that everyone who believes in Me will not remain in darkness. 47 And if anyone hears My words and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for (Z)I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world. 48 (AA)He who rejects Me and does not receive My words, has one who judges him; (AB)the word I spoke is what will judge him on (AC)the last day. 49 (AD)For I did not speak from Myself, but the Father Himself who sent Me (AE)has given Me a commandment—what to say and what to speak. 50 And I know that (AF)His commandment is eternal life; therefore the things I speak, I speak (AG)just as the Father has told Me.”
