⁴ ‘^(A)You yourselves have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I lifted you up on ^(B)eagles’ wings and brought you to Myself. ⁵ So now then, ^(C)if you will indeed listen to My voice and ^(D)keep My covenant, then you shall be ^(E)My treasured possession among all the peoples, for ^(F)all the earth is Mine; ⁶ and you shall be to Me ^(G)a kingdom of priests and ^(H)a holy nation.’ These are the words that you shall speak to the sons of Israel.”

^45 (A)I will dwell among the sons of Israel and will be their God. ⁴⁶ They shall know that ^(B)I am Yahweh their God who brought them out of the land of Egypt, that I might dwell among them; I am Yahweh their God.

Moses and the Glory of Yahweh

¹² Then Moses said to Yahweh, “See, You say to me, ‘^(A)Bring up this people!’ But You Yourself have not let me know ^(B)whom You will send with me. ^(C)Moreover, You have said, ‘I have known you by name, and you have also found favor in My sight.’ ¹³ So now, I pray You, if I have found favor in Your sight, ^(D)let me know Your ways that I may know You, so that I may find favor in Your sight. ^(E)See also, that this nation is Your people.” ¹⁴ And He said, “^(F)My presence shall go with you, and ^(G)I will give you rest.”

⁸ And Moses made haste ^[a](A)to bow low toward the earth and worship. ⁹ And he said, “^(B)If now I have found favor in Your sight, O Lord, I pray, let the Lord go along in our midst, even though ^[b](C)they are a stiff-necked people, and ^(D)pardon our iniquity and our sin, and ^(E)take us as Your own inheritance.”

Yahweh Cuts a Covenant with Israel

¹⁰ Then ^[c]God said, “Behold, ^(F)I am going to cut a covenant. Before all your people ^(G)I will do wondrous deeds which have not been created in all the earth nor among any of the nations; and all the people ^[d]among whom you live will see the working of Yahweh, for it is a fearful thing that I am going to do with you.
