⁷ And Yahweh said, “I have surely ^(A)seen the affliction of My people who are in Egypt, and I have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sufferings.

¹⁰ So now, come and I will send you to Pharaoh, ^(A)and so you shall bring My people, the sons of Israel, out of Egypt.”

Pharaoh Will Not Let the People Go

5 And afterward Moses and Aaron came and said to Pharaoh, “^(A)Thus says Yahweh, the God of Israel, ‘^(B)Let My people go that they may celebrate a feast to Me in the wilderness.’”

¹² Why should ^(A)the Egyptians speak, saying, ‘With evil intent He brought them out to kill them in the mountains and to consume them from the face of the earth’? Turn from Your burning anger and relent concerning doing harm to Your people.

^14 (A)So Yahweh relented concerning the harm which He said He would do to His people.

^26 (A)And I prayed to Yahweh and said, ‘O Lord Yahweh, do not destroy Your people, even Your inheritance, whom You have redeemed through Your greatness, whom You have brought out of Egypt with a strong hand.

²⁹ Yet they are Your people, even ^(A)Your inheritance, whom You have brought out by Your ^(B)great power and Your outstretched arm.’
