¹³ Then God said to Abram, “Know for certain that ^(A)your seed will be sojourners in a land that is not theirs, ^[a]and ^(B)they will be enslaved and mistreated ^(C)four hundred years. ¹⁴ But I will also judge the nation to whom they are enslaved, and afterward they will come out ^(D)with ^[b]many possessions.

⁴⁰ Now the time ^[a]that the sons of Israel lived in Egypt was ^(A)430 years. ⁴¹ And it happened at the end of 430 years, ^[b]to ^(B)the very day, that ^(C)all the hosts of Yahweh went out from the land of Egypt.

⁶ But ^(A)God spoke in this way, that his seed would be sojourners in a foreign land, and that they would ^[a]be enslaved and mistreated for four hundred years. ⁷ ‘And I Myself will judge the nation to which they will be enslaved,’ said God, ‘and ^(B)after that they will come out and ^[b]serve Me in this place.’
