Psalm 107:1-3

BOOK 5

Yahweh Saves in Times of Trouble

107 Oh (A)give thanks to Yahweh, for (B)He is good,
For His lovingkindness endures forever.
Let (C)the redeemed of Yahweh say so,
Whom He has (D)redeemed from the hand of the adversary
And (E)gathered from the lands,
From the east and from the west,
From the north and from the [a]south.

Psalm 107:17-22

17 [a]Ignorant fools, because of their way of transgression,
And (A)because of their iniquities, were afflicted.
18 Their (B)soul abhorred all kinds of food,
And they (C)reached the (D)gates of death.
19 Then they cried out to Yahweh in their trouble;
He saved them out of their distresses.
20 He (E)sent His word and (F)healed them,
And (G)provided them escape from their [b]destructions.
21 (H)Let them give thanks to Yahweh for His lovingkindness,
And for His wondrous deeds to the sons of men!
22 Let them also offer (I)sacrifices of thanksgiving,
And (J)recount His works with joyful singing.

Daniel 12:5-13

Then I, Daniel, looked, and behold, two others were standing, one on this bank of the river and the other on that bank of the river. And (A)one said to the man (B)dressed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, “(C)How long will it be until the end of these wonders?” And I heard the man dressed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, [a]as he (D)raised his right hand and his left toward heaven, and swore by (E)Him who lives forever that it would be for a [b](F)time, [c]times, and half a [d]time; and as soon as [e]they complete (G)shattering the [f]power of the holy people, all these events will be completed. As for me, I heard but could not understand; so I said, “My lord, what will be the [g]outcome of these events?” Then he said, “Go your way, Daniel, for these words are concealed and (H)sealed up until the time of the end. 10 (I)Many will be purged, [h]purified, and refined, but the (J)wicked will act wickedly; and none of the wicked will understand, but [i]those who (K)have insight will understand. 11 But from the time that the regular sacrifice is abolished and the [j](L)abomination of desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days. 12 How (M)blessed is he who keeps waiting and reaches the (N)1,335 days! 13 But as for you, go your way to the [k]end; then you will enter into (O)rest and stand again for your (P)allotted portion at the end of the days.”

Ephesians 1:7-14

(A)In [a]Him we have (B)redemption (C)through His blood, the (D)forgiveness of our transgressions, according to (E)the riches of His grace which He caused to abound to us in all wisdom and insight, (F)making known to us the mystery of His will, (G)according to His good pleasure which He (H)purposed in Him 10 for an administration of (I)the fullness of the times, that is, (J)the summing up of all things in Christ, things [b]in the heavens and things on the earth in Him. 11 In [c]Him, we also [d](K)have been made an inheritance, having been (L)predestined (M)according to the purpose of Him who works all things (N)according to the counsel of His will, 12 to the end that we who first have hoped in [e]Christ would be (O)to the praise of His glory. 13 In [f]Him, you also, after listening to (P)the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also [g]believed, you were (Q)sealed in [h]Him with (R)the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 who is [i](S)given as a pledge of (T)our inheritance, unto the (U)redemption of (V)God’s own possession, (W)to the praise of His glory.
