Psalm 86:1-10

To You, O Lord, I Lift Up My Soul

A Prayer of David.

86 (A)Incline Your ear, O Yahweh, and answer me;
For I am (B)afflicted and needy.
(C)Keep my [a]soul, for I am a (D)holy one;
O You my God, save Your slave who (E)trusts in You.
Be (F)gracious to me, O Lord,
For (G)to You I call all day long.
Make glad the soul of Your slave,
For to You, O Lord, (H)I lift up my soul.
For You, Lord, are (I)good, and (J)by nature forgiving,
And (K)abundant in lovingkindness to all who call upon You.
(L)Give ear, O Yahweh, to my prayer;
And give heed to the voice of my supplications!
In (M)the day of my distress I shall call upon You,
For (N)You will answer me.
There is (O)no one like You among the gods, O Lord,
Nor are there any works (P)like Yours.
(Q)All nations whom You have made shall come and worship before You, O Lord,
And they shall glorify Your name.
10 For You are (R)great and (S)do [b]wondrous deeds;
You alone (T)are God.

Ezekiel 29:3-7

Speak and say, ‘Thus says Lord Yahweh,

“Behold, I am against you, Pharaoh king of Egypt,
The great [a](A)monster that lies in the midst of his canals of the Nile,
That (B)has said, ‘My Nile is mine, and I myself have made it.’
I will put (C)hooks in your jaws
And make the fish of your canals of the Nile cling to your scales.
And I will bring you up out of the midst of your canals of the Nile,
And all the fish of your canals of the Nile will cling to your scales.
I will (D)abandon you to the wilderness, you and all the fish of your canals of the Nile;
You will fall on the [b]open field; you will not be brought together or [c](E)gathered.
I have given you for (F)food to the beasts of the earth and to the birds of the sky.
Then all the inhabitants of Egypt will know that I am Yahweh
Because they have been only a (G)staff made of reed to the house of Israel.
When they seized you with the hand,
You (H)tore and split open all their [d]shoulders;
And when they leaned on you,
You broke and made all their loins [e]quake.”

Luke 11:53-12:3

53 And when He left there, the scribes and the Pharisees began to be very hostile and to question Him closely on many subjects, 54 (A)plotting (B)to catch [a]Him in something He might say.

Fear Only God

12 At this time, after [b]so many thousands of the crowd had gathered together that they were trampling on one another, He began saying to His disciples first, (C)Be on your guard for the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. (D)But there is nothing covered up that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known. Accordingly, whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have [c]whispered in the inner rooms will be proclaimed upon (E)the housetops.
