Isaiah 43:1-7

43 1 The Lord comforteth his people.  He promiseth deliverance to the Jews. 11 There is no God but one alone.

But now thus saith the Lord, [a]that created thee, O Jacob: and he that formed thee, O Israel, [b]Fear not: for I have redeemed thee: I have called thee by thy name, thou art mine.

When thou passest through the [c]waters, I will be with thee, and through the floods, that they do not overflow thee. When thou walkest through the very fire, thou shalt not be burnt, neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

For I am the Lord thy God, the holy one of Israel, thy Savior: I gave [d]Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia, and Seba for thee.

Because thou wast precious in my sight, and thou wast honorable, and I loved thee, therefore will I give [e]man for thee, and people for thy sake.

Fear not, for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the [f]East, and gather thee from the West.

I will say to the North, Give: and to the South, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth.

Everyone shall be called by my [g]Name: for I created him for my glory, formed him and made him.

Psalm 29

29 1 The Prophet exhorteth the princes and rulers of the world (which for the most part think there is no God.) 3 At the least to fear him for the thunders and tempests, for fear whereof all creatures tremble. 11 And though thereby God threateneth sinners, yet he is always merciful to his, and moveth them thereby to praise his Name.

A Psalm of David.

Give unto the Lord, ye [a]sons of the mighty, give unto the Lord glory and strength.

Give unto the Lord glory due unto his Name: worship the Lord in the glorious Sanctuary.

The [b]voice of the Lord is upon the waters: the God of glory maketh it to thunder: the Lord is upon the great waters.

The voice of the Lord is mighty: the voice of the Lord is glorious.

The [c]voice of the Lord breaketh the cedars: yea, the Lord breaketh the cedars of Lebanon.

He maketh them also to leap like a calf: Lebanon also and [d]Shirion like a young unicorn.

The voice of the Lord divideth the [e]flames of fire.

The voice of the Lord maketh the wilderness to tremble: the Lord maketh the wilderness of [f]Kadesh to tremble.

The voice of the Lord maketh the hinds to [g]calve, and [h]discovereth the forests: therefore in his [i]Temple doth every man speak of his glory.

10 The Lord sitteth upon the [j]floods, and the Lord doth remain King forever.

11 The Lord shall give strength unto his people: the Lord shall bless his people with peace.

Acts 8:14-17

14 [a]Now when the Apostles, which were at Jerusalem, heard say, that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John.

15 Which when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the [b]holy Ghost.

16 (For as yet he was fallen down on none of them, but they were baptized only in the Name of the Lord Jesus.)

17 Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the holy Ghost.

Luke 3:15-17

15 [a]As the people waited, and all men mused in their hearts of John, if he were not that Christ.

16 John answered, and said to them all, (A)Indeed I baptize you with water, but one stronger than I, cometh, whose shoe’s latchet I am not worthy to unloose: he will baptize you with the holy Ghost, and with fire.

17 [b]Whose fan is in his hand, and he will make clean his floor, and will gather the wheat into his garner, but the chaff will he burn up with fire that never shall be quenched.

Luke 3:21-22

21 (A)[a]Now it came to pass, as all the people were baptized, and that Jesus was baptized and did pray, that the heaven was opened:

22 And the holy Ghost came down in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and there was a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son: in thee I am well pleased.
