Glorious Things of You Are Spoken

A Psalm of ^(A)the Sons of Korah. A Song.

¹⁸ “For I know^[a] their works and their thoughts, and the time is coming^{[b] (A)}to gather all nations and tongues. And they shall come and shall see my glory, ¹⁹ and I will set a sign among them. And from them ^(B)I will send survivors to the nations, to ^(C)Tarshish, ^(D)Pul, and ^(E)Lud, who draw the bow, to ^(F)Tubal and ^(G)Javan, ^(H)to the coastlands far away, ^(I)that have not heard my fame or seen my glory. And they shall declare my glory among the nations. ^20 (J)And they shall bring all your brothers from all the nations ^(K)as an offering to the Lord, on horses and in chariots and in litters and on mules and on dromedaries, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, says the Lord, just as the Israelites bring their grain offering in a clean vessel to the house of the Lord. ^21 (L)And some of them also I will take for priests and for Levites, says the Lord.

Jesus Cleanses a Leper

8 When he came down from the mountain, ^(A)great crowds followed him. ^2 (B)And behold, a leper^[a] came to him and ^(C)knelt before him, saying, “Lord, if you will, you can make me clean.” ³ And Jesus^[b] stretched out his hand and touched him, saying, “I will; be clean.” And immediately his leprosy was cleansed. ⁴ And Jesus said to him, ^(D)“See that you say nothing to anyone, but go, ^(E)show yourself to the priest and ^(F)offer the gift that Moses commanded, ^(G)for a proof to them.”

The Faith of a Centurion

^5 (H)When he entered Capernaum, a centurion came forward to him, appealing to him, ⁶ “Lord, my servant is lying paralysed at home, suffering terribly.” ⁷ And he said to him, “I will come and heal him.” ⁸ But the centurion replied, “Lord, I am not worthy to have you come under my roof, but ^(I)only say the word, and my servant will be healed. ⁹ For I too am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. And I say to one, ‘Go’, and he goes, and to another, ‘Come’, and he comes, and to my servant,^[c] ‘Do this’, and he does it.” ¹⁰ When Jesus heard this, ^(J)he marvelled and said to those who followed him, “Truly, I tell you, with ^(K)no one in Israel^[d] have I found such faith. ¹¹ I tell you, ^(L)many will come from east and west and recline at table with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven, ^12 (M)while the sons of the kingdom ^(N)will be thrown into the outer darkness. In that place ^(O)there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” ¹³ And to the centurion Jesus said, “Go; let it be done for you ^(P)as you have believed.” ^(Q)And the servant was healed at that very moment.
