122 I was glad when they said unto me, “Let us go into the house of the Lord.”

² Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.

³ Jerusalem is built as a city that is united together,

⁴ whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the Lord, according to the testimony of Israel to give thanks unto the name of the Lord.

⁵ For there are set thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David.

⁶ Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “They shall prosper that love thee.

⁷ Peace be within thy walls and prosperity within thy palaces.”

⁸ For my brethren and companions’ sakes I will now say, “Peace be within thee.”

⁹ Because of the house of the Lord our God, I will seek thy good.

6 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth and daughters were born unto them,

² that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were fair; and they took for themselves wives of all whom they chose.

³ And the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not always strive with man, for he also is flesh; yet his days shall be a hundred and twenty years.”

⁴ There were giants on the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men and they bore children to them, the same became mighty men who were of old, men of renown.

⁵ And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagining of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

⁶ And the Lord repented that He had made man on the earth, and it grieved Him in His heart.

⁷ And the Lord said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, and the creeping thing and the fowls of the air, for I repent that I have made them.”

⁸ But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.

⁹ These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

¹⁰ And Noah begot three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

11 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

² For by it the elders obtained a good report.

³ Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

⁴ By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and by it he, being dead, yet speaketh.

⁵ By faith Enoch was translated, that he should not see death, “and was not found because God had translated him.” For before his translation he had this testimony: that he pleased God.

⁶ But without faith it is impossible to please Him. For he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

⁷ By faith Noah, being warned by God of things not yet seen, moved with fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his house, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
