Psalm 118

Yahweh’s Lovingkindness Endures Forever

118 (A)Give thanks to Yahweh, for (B)He is good;
For His lovingkindness endures forever.
Oh let (C)Israel say,
“His lovingkindness endures forever.”
Oh let the (D)house of Aaron say,
“His lovingkindness endures forever.”
Oh let those (E)who [a]fear Yahweh say,
“His lovingkindness endures forever.”

From my (F)distress I called upon Yah;
Yah answered me and (G)set me in a large place.
Yahweh is (H)for me; I will (I)not fear;
(J)What can man do to me?
Yahweh is for me (K)among those who help me;
Therefore I will (L)look in triumph on those who hate me.
It is (M)better to take refuge in Yahweh
Than to trust in man.
It is (N)better to take refuge in Yahweh
Than to trust in nobles.

10 All nations (O)surrounded me;
In the name of Yahweh I will surely (P)cut them off.
11 They (Q)surrounded me, indeed, they surrounded me;
In the name of Yahweh I will surely cut them off.
12 They surrounded me (R)like bees;
They were extinguished as a (S)fire of thorns;
In the name of Yahweh I will surely cut them off.
13 You (T)pushed me down violently to make me fall,
But Yahweh (U)helped me.
14 (V)Yah is my strength and song,
And He has become (W)my salvation.

15 The sound of (X)joyful shouting and salvation is in the tents of the righteous;
The (Y)right hand of Yahweh does valiantly.
16 The (Z)right hand of Yahweh is exalted;
The right hand of Yahweh does valiantly.
17 I (AA)will not die; indeed I will live,
And (AB)recount the works of Yah.
18 Yah has (AC)disciplined me severely,
But He has (AD)not given me over to death.

19 (AE)Open to me the gates of righteousness;
I shall enter through them, I shall give thanks to Yah.
20 This is the gate of Yahweh;
The (AF)righteous will enter through it.
21 I shall give thanks to You, for You have (AG)answered me,
And You have (AH)become my salvation.

22 The (AI)stone which the builders rejected
Has become the chief corner stone.
23 This is from Yahweh;
It is marvelous in our eyes.
24 This is the day which Yahweh has made;
Let us (AJ)rejoice and be glad in it.
25 O Yahweh, (AK)save!
O Yahweh, (AL)succeed!
26 (AM)Blessed is the one who comes in the name of Yahweh;
We have (AN)blessed you from the house of Yahweh.
27 (AO)Yahweh is God, and He has given us (AP)light;
Bind the festival sacrifice with cords [b]to the (AQ)horns of the altar.
28 (AR)You are my God, and I give thanks to You;
You are my God, (AS)I exalt You.
29 (AT)Give thanks to Yahweh, for He is good;
For His lovingkindness endures forever.

Exodus 3:16-4:12

16 Go and (A)gather the elders of Israel together and say to them, ‘(B)Yahweh, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, has appeared to me, saying, “[a](C)I indeed care about you and what has been done to you in Egypt. 17 So (D)I said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt to the land of (E)the Canaanite and the Hittite and the Amorite and the Perizzite and the Hivite and the Jebusite, to a land (F)flowing with milk and honey.”’ 18 (G)And they will listen to your voice; and (H)you with the elders of Israel will come to the king of Egypt, and you all will say to him, ‘Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us. So now, please, let us go a (I)three days’ journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to Yahweh our God.’ 19 But I know that the king of Egypt (J)will not give you permission to go, (K)except by a strong hand. 20 So I will stretch out (L)My hand and strike Egypt with all My (M)wondrous deeds which I shall do in the midst of it; and (N)after that he will let you go. 21 And I will give this people (O)favor in the sight of the Egyptians; and it shall be that when you go, you will not go empty. 22 But every woman (P)shall ask of her neighbor and of the woman who lives in her house, for articles of silver and articles of gold, and clothing; and you will put them on your sons and daughters. Thus you will (Q)plunder the Egyptians.”

If They Will Not Believe These Signs

Then Moses answered and said, “What if they will not believe me and will not (R)listen to my voice? For they may say, ‘(S)Yahweh has not appeared to you.’” And Yahweh said to him, “What is this in your hand?” And he said, “(T)A staff.” Then He said, “Throw it on the ground.” So he threw it on the ground, and (U)it became a serpent; and Moses fled from it. And Yahweh said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand and grasp it by its tail”—so he stretched out his hand and took hold of it, and it became a staff in his [b]hand— “that (V)they may believe that (W)Yahweh, the God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has appeared to you.”

And Yahweh furthermore said to him, “Now put your hand into your bosom.” So he put his hand into his bosom; then he took it out, and behold, his hand was (X)leprous like snow. Then He said, “Return your hand into your bosom.” So he returned his hand into his bosom, and when he took it out of his bosom, behold, (Y)it returned to being like the rest of his flesh. “And so it will be, if they will not believe you or listen to the [c]witness of the first sign, they may believe the [d]witness of [e]this last sign. But if it will be that they will not believe even these two signs and that they will not listen to your voice, then you shall take some water from the Nile and pour it on the dry land; and the water which you take from the Nile (Z)will become blood on the dry land.”

Aaron to Speak for Moses

10 Then Moses said to Yahweh, “Please, Lord, (AA)I have never been a man of words, neither [f]recently nor in time past, nor since You have spoken to Your slave; for I am one with a [g]hard mouth and a [h]hard tongue.” 11 And Yahweh said to him, “Who has made man’s mouth? Or (AB)who makes him mute or deaf, or seeing or blind? Is it not I, Yahweh? 12 So now, go, and (AC)I, even I, will be with your mouth and will (AD)instruct you what you shall speak.”

Romans 12

A Living and Holy Sacrifice

12 Therefore (A)I exhort you, brothers, by the mercies of God, to (B)present your bodies as a sacrifice—living, holy, and pleasing to God, which is your [a]spiritual service of worship. And do not (C)be conformed to (D)this [b]world, but be transformed by the (E)renewing of your mind, so that you may (F)approve what the will of God is, that which is good and pleasing and [c]perfect.

For through (G)the grace given to me I say to each one among you (H)not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound thinking, as God has allotted to (I)each a measure of faith. For (J)just as we have many members in one body and all the members do not have the same function, so we, (K)who are many, are (L)one body in Christ, and individually members one of another, but having gifts that (M)differ according to the grace given to us: whether (N)prophecy, [d]in agreement with the faith; or [e](O)service, in his serving; or he who (P)teaches, in his teaching; or he who (Q)exhorts, in his exhortation; he who gives, with [f](R)generosity; (S)he who [g]leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with (T)cheerfulness.

Let (U)love be without hypocrisy—by (V)abhorring what is evil, clinging to what is good, 10 being (W)devoted to one another in brotherly love, [h]giving preference to one another (X)in honor, 11 not lagging behind in diligence, being (Y)fervent in spirit, (Z)serving the Lord, 12 (AA)rejoicing in hope, (AB)persevering in affliction, being (AC)devoted to prayer, 13 (AD)contributing to the needs of the [i]saints, (AE)pursuing hospitality.

14 (AF)Bless those who persecute [j]you; bless, and do not curse. 15 (AG)Rejoice with those who rejoice; weep with those who weep, 16 by (AH)being of the same mind toward one another, (AI)not being haughty in mind, but [k]associating with the humble. (AJ)Do not be wise in your own mind. 17 (AK)Never paying back evil for evil to anyone, [l](AL)respecting what is good in the sight of all men, 18 if possible, (AM)so far as it depends on you, (AN)being at peace with all men, 19 (AO)never taking your own revenge, beloved—instead [m]leave room for the wrath of God. For it is written, “(AP)Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. 20 (AQ)But if your enemy is hungry, feed him, and if he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.” 21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

John 8:46-59

46 Which one of you convicts Me of sin? If (A)I speak truth, why do you not believe Me? 47 (B)He who is of God hears the words of God; for this reason you do not hear them, because you are not of God.”

48 (C)The Jews answered and said to Him, “Do we not say rightly that You are a (D)Samaritan and (E)have a demon?” 49 Jesus answered, “I do not (F)have a demon, but I honor My Father, and you dishonor Me. 50 But (G)I do not seek My glory; there is One who seeks and judges. 51 Truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone (H)keeps My word he will never (I)see death—ever.” 52 (J)The Jews said to Him, “Now we know that You (K)have a demon. Abraham died, and the prophets also; and You say, ‘If anyone (L)keeps My word, he will never (M)taste of death—ever.’ 53 Surely You (N)are not greater than our father Abraham who died? The prophets died too; whom do You make Yourself out to be?” 54 Jesus answered, (O)If I glorify Myself, My glory is nothing; (P)it is My Father who glorifies Me, of whom you say, ‘He is our God’; 55 and (Q)you have not known Him, (R)but I know Him; and if I say that I do not know Him, I will be (S)a liar like you, (T)but I do know Him and (U)keep His word. 56 (V)Your father Abraham (W)rejoiced [a]to see My day, and he saw it and was glad.” 57 (X)So the Jews said to Him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?” 58 Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, (Y)I am.” 59 Therefore they (Z)picked up stones to throw at Him, but Jesus [b](AA)hid Himself and went out of the temple.
