97 Oh how love I thy law! it is my meditation [a]continually.

98 By thy commandments thou hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me.

99 I have had more [b]understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation.

100 I understood more than the ancient, because I kept thy precepts.

101 I have refrained my feet from every evil way, that I might keep thy word.

102 I have not declined from thy judgments: for [c]thou didst teach me.

103 How sweet are thy promises unto my mouth! yea, more than honey unto my mouth.

104 By thy precepts I have gotten understanding: therefore I hate all the ways of falsehood.

105 Thy word is a [d]lantern unto my feet, and a light unto my paths.

106 I have [e]sworn and will perform it, that I will keep thy righteous judgments.

107 I am very sore afflicted: O Lord, quicken me according to thy word.

108 O Lord, I beseech thee, accept the [f]free offering of my mouth, and teach me thy judgments.

109 My [g]soul is continually in mine hand: yet do I not forget thy law.

110 The wicked have laid a snare for me: but I swerved not from thy precepts.

111 Thy testimonies have I taken as an [h]heritage forever: for they are the joy of mine heart.

112 I have applied mine heart to fulfill thy statutes always, even unto the end.

120 My flesh [n]trembleth for fear of thee, and I am afraid of thy judgments.

Psalm 81-82

81 1 An exhortation to praise God both in heart and voice for his benefits, 8 and to worship him only. 11 God condemneth their ingratitude, 12 and showeth what great benefit they have lost through their own malice.

To him that excelleth upon [a]Gittith. A Psalm committeth to Asaph.

Sing [b]joyfully unto God our strength: sing loud unto the God of Jacob.

Take the song and bring forth the timbrel, the pleasant harp with the viol.

Blow the trumpet in the [c]new moon, even in the time appointed at our feast day.

For this is a statute for Israel, and a Law of the God of Jacob.

He set this in [d]Joseph for a testimony, when he came out of the land of Egypt, where I heard a language, that [e]I understood not.

I have withdrawn his shoulder from the burden, and his hands have left the [f]pots.

Thou calledst in affliction, and I delivered thee, and [g]answered thee in the secret of the thunder: I proved thee at the waters of [h]Meribah. Selah.

[i]Hear, O my people, and I will protest unto thee: O Israel, if thou wilt hearken unto me,

And wilt have no strange god in thee, neither worship any strange god,

10 (For I am the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt:) [j]open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.

11 But my people would not hear my voice, and Israel would none of me,

12 So I gave them up unto the hardness of their heart, and they have walked in their own counsels.

13 [k]Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, and Israel had walked in my ways!

14 I would soon have humbled their enemies, and turned mine hand [l]against their adversaries.

15 The haters of the Lord should have been subject unto him, and their time [m]should have endured forever.

16 And God would have fed them with the [n]fat of wheat, and with honey out of the rock would I have sufficed thee.

82 1 The Prophet declaring God to be present among the Judges and Magistrates, 2 Reproveth their partiality. 3 And exhorteth them to do justice. 5 But seeing none amendment, 8 He desireth God to undertake the matter and execute justice himself.

A Psalm committeth to Aspah.

God standeth in the assembly of [o]gods: he judgeth among gods.

How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the [p]wicked? Selah.

Do right to the poor and fatherless: do justice to the poor and needy.

Deliver the poor and [q]needy: save them from the hand of the wicked.

They know not and understand nothing: they walk in darkness, albeit all the [r]foundations of the earth be moved.

I have said, Ye are gods, and ye all are children of the most High.

[s]But ye shall die as a man, and ye princes shall fall like others.

O God, arise, therefore judge thou the earth: for thou shalt inherit [t]all nations.

Numbers 11:24-35

24 ¶ So Moses went out, and told the people the words of the Lord, and gathered seventy men of the Elders of the people, and set them round about the Tabernacle.

25 Then the Lord came down in a cloud, and spake unto him, and [a]took of the Spirit that was upon him, and put it upon the seventy Ancient men: and when the Spirit rested upon them, then they prophesied, and did not [b]cease.

26 But there remained two of the men in the host: the name of the one was Eldad, and the name of the other Medad, and the Spirit rested upon them, (for they were of them that were written, and went not out unto the Tabernacle) and they prophesied in the host.

27 Then there ran a young man, and told Moses, and said, Eldad and Medad do prophesy in the host.

28 And Joshua the son of Nun the servant of Moses one of his [c]young men answered and said, My lord Moses, [d]forbid them.

29 But Moses said unto him, Enviest thou for my sake? yea, would God that all the Lord’s people were Prophets, and that the Lord would put his spirit upon them.

30 And Moses returned into the host, he and the Elders of Israel.

31 Then there went forth a wind from the Lord, and (A)brought quails from the sea, and let them fall upon the camp, a day’s journey on this side, and a day’s journey on the other side, round about the host, and they were about two cubits above the earth.

32 Then the people arose, all that day, and all the night, and all the next day, and gathered the quails: he that gathered the least, gathered ten [e]Homers full, and they spread them abroad for their use round about the host.

33 While the flesh was yet between their teeth, before it was chewed, even the wrath of the Lord was kindled against the people, and the Lord (B)smote the people with an exceeding great plague.

34 So the name of the place was called, [f]Kibroth Hattaavah: for there they buried the people that fell a lusting.

35 From Kibroth Hattaavah the people took their journey to Hazeroth, and abode at Hazeroth.

Romans 1:28-2:11

28 [a]For as they regarded not to acknowledge God, even so God delivered them up unto a [b]reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient,

29 Being full of all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness, full of envy, of murder, of debate, of deceit, taking all things in the evil part, whisperers,

30 Backbiters, haters of God, doers of wrong, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, without understanding, [c]covenant breakers, without natural affection, such as can never be appeased, merciless.

31 Which men, though they knew the [d]Law of God, how that they which commit such things are worthy of death, yet not only do the same, but also [e]favor them that do them.

1 He bringeth all before the judgment seat of God. 12 The excuse the Gentiles might pretend, 14 of ignorance, he taketh quite away. 17 He urgeth the Jews with the written Law, 23 in which they boasted. 27 And so maketh both Jew and Gentile alike.

Therefore [f]thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that condemnest: for in that thou condemnest another, thou condemnest thyself: for thou that condemnest, doest the same things.

But we [g]know that the judgment of God is according to [h]truth, against them which commit such things.

And thinkest thou this, O thou man, that condemnest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?

[i]Or despisest thou the riches of his bountifulness, and patience, and long sufferance, not knowing that the bountifulness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

But thou, after thine hardness, and heart that cannot repent, (A)[j]heapest up as a treasure unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath, and of the declaration of the just judgment of God,

(B)[k]Who will reward every man according to his works:

That is, to them which through patience in well doing, seek [l]glory, and honor, and immortality, everlasting life:

But unto them that are contentious, and disobey the [m]truth, and obey unrighteousness, shall be [n]indignation and wrath.

Tribulation and anguish shall be upon the soul of every man that doeth evil: of the Jew first, and also of the Grecian.

10 But to every man that doeth good, shall be glory, and honor, and peace: to the Jew first, and also to the Grecian.

11 For there is [o]no respect of persons with God.

Matthew 18:1-9

The (A)same time the disciples came unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?

[a]And Jesus called a [b]little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,

And said, Verily I say unto you, except ye be (B)[c]converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

And whosoever shall receive one such little child in my Name, receiveth me.

(C)[d]But whosoever shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him, that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

[e]Woe be unto the world because of offences, for it must needs be that [f]offences shall come, but woe be to that man by whom the offence cometh.

(D)Wherefore, if thy hand or thy foot cause thee to [g]offend, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life, halt, or maimed, than having two hands, or two feet, to be cast into everlasting fire.

And if thine eye cause thee to offend, pluck it out and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.
