Psalm 49:18
Though while he lived he blessed his soul (and men will praise thee when thou doest well for thyself),

Though while he lives he counts himself happy and prosperous— And though people praise you when you do well for yourself—
Though while he lives he counts himself happy and prosperous, and though a man gets praise when he does well [for himself],

Though they consider themselves blessed during their lives, and even thank you when you deal well with them,
For when he dies, he won’t take it with him; his wealth will not go down after him.
We humans are praised when we do well, and all of us are glad to be alive.
Though he blessed his soul in his lifetime,—and men will praise thee when thou doest well to thyself,—
If thou didst see a thief thou didst run with him: and with adulterers thou hast been a partaker.
A wealthy man might tell himself how well he has done in life. And other people might praise him.
For though, while he lives, he counts himself blessed —and though you get praise when you do well for yourself—
For though, while he lives, he counts himself blessed —and though you get praise when you do well for yourself—
Even though they were ·praised [blessed] when they were alive— and people may praise you when you ·succeed [do well]
For while he lived, he rejoiced himself; and men will praise thee, when thou makest much of thyself.
Even though he blesses himself while he is alive (and they praise you when you do well for yourself),
Even if someone is satisfied with this life and is praised because he is successful,
Though he praises himself during his lifetime— and people praise you when you do well for yourself—
He was praised when he was alive. (And people may praise you when you succeed.)
although he considers himself blessed while he’s alive. Though people praise you for doing well,
Though while he lives, his life shall be blessed: and men will praise thee when thou art prosperous.

Though he congratulated his soul while he was living —and people will praise you when you do well for yourself—
Though a man calls himself happy all through his life—and the world loudly applauds success—
So don’t be impressed with those who get rich and pile up fame and fortune. They can’t take it with them; fame and fortune all get left behind. Just when they think they’ve arrived and folks praise them because they’ve made good, They enter the family burial plot where they’ll never see sunshine again.
Though while he lives he blesses his soul— and men will praise you when you do well for yourself—
Even though he blesses himself while he is alive (and they praise you when you do well for yourself),
At his death he will not take along anything, his glory will not go down after him.
Though while he lives he congratulates himself— And though men praise you when you do well for yourself—
Even though they were praised when they were alive— and people may praise you when you succeed—
He pronounces this blessing on himself while he is alive: “May men praise you, for you have done well!”
While they lived, they believed they were blessed. People praised them when things were going well for them.
Though while they live they count themselves blessed— and people praise you when you prosper—

In this life they consider themselves fortunate and are applauded for their success.

For when he dies he takes nothing away. His splendor will not follow him down.
During their lives, they seek every blessing and advantage because others praise you when you’ve done well.
Though while he lived he blessed his soul— and men praise you when you do well for yourself—
For his soul shall be blessed in his life; he shall acknowledge to thee, when thou hast done well to him. (Even though his soul shall be blessed in this life; and people shall praise him, when he hath done well for himself.)
For his soul in his life he blesseth, (And they praise thee when thou dost well for thyself.)
