Psalm 36:2
For he flattereth himself in his own eyes until his iniquity be found to be hateful.
For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, That his iniquity will not be found out and be hated.
For he flatters and deceives himself in his own eyes Thinking that his sinfulness will not be discovered and hated [by God].

because in their own eyes they are slick with talk about their guilt ever being found out and despised.
Crime speaks to the wicked. I perceive this in my heart; before his eyes there is no fear of God.
They like themselves too much to hate their own sins or even to see them.

For they shall shortly wither away as grass, and as the green herbs shall quickly fall.
They lie to themselves. They don’t see their own faults, so they are not sorry for what they do.

Because they think so highly of themselves, they think that God will not discover their sin and condemn it.
for in his own eyes he flatters himself too much to discover and hate his sin.

He flatters himself too much to discover his transgression and hate it.
For he flatters himself in his own eyes until his iniquity is found to be hateful.

Instead, in their conceit, they think they can hide their evil deeds and not get caught.
A David Psalm The God-rebel tunes in to sedition— all ears, eager to sin. He has no regard for God, he stands insolent before him. He has smooth-talked himself into believing That his evil will never be noticed. Words gutter from his mouth, dishwater dirty. Can’t remember when he did anything decent. Every time he goes to bed, he fathers another evil plot. When he’s loose on the streets, nobody’s safe. He plays with fire and doesn’t care who gets burned.
For they flatter themselves in their own eyes, that their iniquity cannot be found out and hated.
He flatters himself and does not hate or even recognize his guilt.
Sin directs the heart of the wicked man; his eyes are closed to the fear of God.
For it flatters him in his own eyes Concerning the discovery of his iniquity and the hatred of it.
They think too much of themselves so they don’t see their sin and hate it.
for he is too proud to recognize and give up his sin.
They praise themselves so much that they can’t see their sin or hate it.
In their own eyes they flatter themselves too much to detect or hate their sin.
