If I say, “Surely the darkness shall cover me,” even the night shall be light about me.
If I say, Surely the darkness shall overwhelm me, And the light about me shall be night;
If I say, “Surely the darkness will cover me, And the night will be the only light around me,”
If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me and the night shall be [the only] light about me,
If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.
If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me, and the light around me will be night”—
If I said, “The darkness will definitely hide me; the light will become night around me,”
If I say, “Let darkness surround me, let the light around me be night,”
Or suppose I said, “I'll hide in the dark until night comes to cover me over.”
And if I say, Surely darkness shall cover me, and the light about me be night;
Burning coals shall fall upon them; thou wilt cast them down into the fire: in miseries they shall not be able to stand.
Suppose I wanted to hide from you and said, “Surely the darkness will hide me. The day will change to night and cover me.”
I might say, ‘I will hide myself in the dark, and the light round me will change into night.’
And if I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light will become night around me,”
If I say, “Surely the darkness shall cover me, and the light about me be night,”
If I say, “Surely the darkness shall cover me, and the light about me be night”,
I could say, “The darkness will ·hide [cover] me. Let the light around me turn into night.”
If I say, Yet the darkness shall hide me, even the night shall be light about me.
If I say, “Let the darkness hide me and let the light around me turn into night,”
I could ask the darkness to hide me or the light around me to turn into night,
If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me, and the light around me will be night”—
I could say, “The darkness will hide me. The light around me will turn into night.”
If I say, “Darkness will surely conceal me, and the light around me will become night,”
If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall shine because of me.
If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.
If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.
If I say, “Surely the darkness will bruise me, And the light around me will be night,”
And if I should say, “Surely darkness will cover me, and the light around me will be as night,”
If I try to hide in the darkness, the night becomes light around me.
Is there anyplace I can go to avoid your Spirit? to be out of your sight? If I climb to the sky, you’re there! If I go underground, you’re there! If I flew on morning’s wings to the far western horizon, You’d find me in a minute— you’re already there waiting! Then I said to myself, “Oh, he even sees me in the dark! At night I’m immersed in the light!” It’s a fact: darkness isn’t dark to you; night and day, darkness and light, they’re all the same to you.
If I say, “Surely the darkness shall cover me, and the light shall be as night about me,”
If I say, “Let the darkness hide me and let the light around me turn into night,”
If I say, “Surely darkness shall hide me, and night shall be my light”—
If I say, “Surely the darkness will overwhelm me, And the light around me will be night,”
If I say, “Surely the darkness will overwhelm me, And the light around me will be night,”
If I say, “Surely the darkness will conceal me and the day around me will turn to night,”
I could say, “The darkness will hide me. Let the light around me turn into night.”
If I were to say, “Certainly the darkness will cover me, and the light will turn to night all around me,”
Suppose I were to say, “I’m sure the darkness will hide me. The light around me will become as dark as night.”
If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,”
If I say, ‘Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,’
If I say, “Surely the darkness shall fall on me,” Even the night shall be light about me;
If I say, “For sure the darkness will cover me and the light around me will be night,”
I could ask the darkness to hide me and the light around me to become night—
If I say, ‘Surely the darkness shall cover me, and the light around me become night’,
If I say, ‘Surely the darkness shall cover me, and the light around me become night’,
If I say, “Surely the darkness shall cover me, and the light around me become night,”
If I say, “Surely the darkness shall cover me, and night wraps itself around me,”
If I say, Surely the choshech shall cover me, even the lailah shall be ohr about me.
If I say, “Let only darkness cover me, and the light about me be night,”
If I say, “Let only darkness cover me, and the light about me be night,”
If I say: “Surely darkness covers me, night keeps light at a distance from me,”
Even if I am afraid and think to myself, “There is no doubt that the darkness will swallow me, the light around me will soon be turned to night,”
If I say, “Surely the darkness will overwhelm me. The light around me will be night,”
And I said, In hap darknesses shall defoul me; and the night is my lightening in my delights. (And I said, Perhaps the darkness shall cover me; or the light all around me shall become my night.)
And I say, `Surely darkness bruiseth me, Then night [is] light to me.
