As for the oblation of the firstfruits, ye shall offer them unto the Lord, but they shall not be burned on the altar for a sweet savor.

As an offering of first fruits you may offer them [leaven and honey] to the Lord, but they shall not go up [in smoke] on the altar as a sweet and soothing aroma.
As an offering of firstfruits you may offer leaven and honey to the Lord, but they shall not be burned on the altar for a sweet odor [to the Lord, for their aid to fermentation is symbolic of corruption in the human heart].

You may present them to the Lord as an offering of firstfruits, but they are not to be offered on the altar as a pleasing aroma.

Don’t leave the salt of the covenant with your God out of your Grain-Offerings. Present all your offerings with salt.
