Through the window she looked forth, and cried, The mother of Sisera cried through the lattice, Why is his chariot so long in coming? Why tarry the wheels of his chariots?
“Out of the window she looked down and lamented (cried out in a shrill voice), The mother of Sisera through the lattice, ‘Why is his chariot delayed in coming? Why have the hoofbeats of his chariots delayed?’
The mother of Sisera looked out at a window and wailed through the lattice, Why is his chariot so long in coming? Why do the hoofbeats of his chariots tarry?
The mother of Sisera looked out at a window, and cried through the lattice, Why is his chariot so long in coming? why tarry the wheels of his chariots?
Sisera’s mother looked through the window; she peered through the lattice, crying out: “Why is his chariot so long in coming? Why don’t I hear the hoofbeats of his horses?”
Through the window she watched, Sisera’s mother looked longingly through the lattice. “Why is his chariot taking so long to come? Why are the hoofbeats of his chariot horses delayed?”
“Sisra’s mother looks out the window; peering out through the lattice she wonders, ‘Why is his chariot so long in coming? Why are his horses so slow to return?’
Sisera's mother looked out through her window. “Why is he taking so long?” she asked. “Why haven't we heard his chariots coming?”
Them other of Sisera looketh out at the window, And crieth through the lattice, Why is his chariot so long in coming? Why tarry the trampings of his chariots?
His mother looked out at a window, and howled: and she spoke from the dining room: Why is his chariot so long in coming back? Why are the feet of his horses so slow?
“There is Sisera’s mother, looking out the window, looking through the curtains and crying. ‘Why is Sisera’s chariot so late? Why can’t I hear his wagons?’
Sisera's mother looked out from the window of her house. She waited for Sisera to return. She said, “His chariot has taken a long time to come! Why do I not yet hear the sound of his horse's feet?”
Out the window she peers. Sisera’s mother wails from behind the latticework. “Why is his chariot so late in coming? Why do I still not hear the clatter of his chariots?”
“Out of the window she peered, the mother of Sisera wailed through the lattice: ‘Why is his chariot so long in coming? Why tarry the hoofbeats of his chariots?’
“Out of the window she peered, the mother of Sisera wailed through the lattice: ‘Why is his chariot so long in coming? Why tarry the hoofbeats of his chariots?’
“Sisera’s mother looked out through the window. She looked through the ·curtains [lattice] and cried out, ‘Why is Sisera’s chariot so late in coming? Why are ·sounds of his chariots’ horses [L the chariots’ hoofbeats] delayed?’

Sisera’s mother looked through the window; she peered through the lattice, crying out: “Why is his chariot so long in coming? Why don’t I hear the hoofbeats of his horses?”
“Sisera’s mother looked out through the window. She looked through the curtains. She asked, ‘Why is Sisera’s chariot so late in coming? Why are sounds of his chariots’ horses delayed?’
“Back at home, out the window Sisera’s mother peered, lamenting through the lattice. ‘Why is his chariot delayed in returning? ‘Why do the hoof beats of his chariots wait?’

The mother of Sisera watched through the window For his return. ‘Why is his chariot so long in coming? Why don’t we hear the sound of the wheels?’
Sisera’s mother waited at the window, a weary, anxious watch. “What’s keeping his chariot? What delays his chariot’s rumble?” The wisest of her ladies-in-waiting answers with calm, reassuring words, “Don’t you think they’re busy at plunder, dividing up the loot? A girl, maybe two girls, for each man, And for Sisera a bright silk shirt, a prize, fancy silk shirt! And a colorful scarf—make it two scarves— to grace the neck of the plunderer.” * * *

Sisera’s mother looked through her window and cried as she peered through the lattice. “Why is his chariot taking so long? Why don’t I hear the clatter of his chariots?”
From the window she looked down, the mother of Sisera peered through the lattice: “Why is his chariot so long in coming? why are the hoofbeats of his chariots delayed?”

“Sisera’s mother looked out through the window. From behind the wooden screen she cried out. ‘Why is his chariot taking so long to get here?’ she said. ‘Why can’t I hear the noise of his chariots yet?’
“Through the window peered Sisera’s mother; behind the lattice she cried out, ‘Why is his chariot so long in coming? Why is the clatter of his chariots delayed?’
‘Through the window peered Sisera’s mother; behind the lattice she cried out, “Why is his chariot so long in coming? Why is the clatter of his chariots delayed?”
“The mother of Sisera looked through the window, And cried out through the lattice, ‘Why is his chariot so long in coming? Why tarries the clatter of his chariots?’
“The mother of Sisera looked out of the window. She looked through the window and cried in sorrow, ‘Why is his war-wagon so long in coming? Why do the steps of his horses wait?’
“From the window Sisera’s mother looked out. Through the window she watched for his return, saying, ‘Why is his chariot so long in coming? Why don’t we hear the sound of chariot wheels?’
‘Out of the window she peered, the mother of Sisera gazed through the lattice: “Why is his chariot so long in coming? Why tarry the hoofbeats of his chariots?”
‘Out of the window she peered, the mother of Sisera gazed through the lattice: “Why is his chariot so long in coming? Why tarry the hoofbeats of his chariots?”

Through the window, Sisera’s mother looked out, through the lattice. and lamented shrilly: ‘Why does his chariot delay in coming? Why do the wheels of his chariots tarry?’
The mother of Sisera waited for him, watching through the lattice of the window. “Why is his chariot so long in returning?” she wondered. “Where are the hoofbeats of his horses?”
“Through the window she looked out, and cried: Sisera’s mother looked through the lattice. ‘Why is his chariot so long in coming? Why do the wheels of his chariots wait?’
His mother beheld by a window, and yelled (out); and she spake from the solar, Why tarrieth his chariot to come again? Why tarry the feet of his four-horsed carts?
Through the window she hath looked out -- Yea, she crieth out -- the mother of Sisera, Through the lattice: Wherefore is his chariot delaying to come? Wherefore tarried have the steps of his chariot?
