Job 34:18
Is it fit to say to a king, ‘Thou art wicked’? And to princes, ‘Ye are ungodly’?
Him that saith to a king, Thou art vile, Or to nobles, Ye are wicked;
“God who says to a king, ‘You are worthless and vile,’ Or to princes and nobles, ‘You are wicked and evil’?
[God] Who says to a king, You are worthless and vile, or to princes and nobles, You are ungodly and evil?
Is it fit to say to a king, Thou art wicked? and to princes, Ye are ungodly?
Will you say to a king, “Worthless!” to royalty, “Evil!”
Should a hater of justice be in control? If you wouldn’t tell a king, ‘You’re a scoundrel!’ or nobles, ‘You are wicked men!’ then you shouldn’t condemn the Just and Mighty One,
Indeed, God is the one who condemns unfair rulers.
Shall one say to a king, Belial? to nobles, Wicked?
Who saith to the king: Thou art an apostate: who calleth rulers ungodly?
God is the one who says to kings, ‘You are worthless!’ He says to leaders, ‘You are evil!’
who says to a king, ‘Worthless one,’ and to nobles, ‘Wicked man,’
who says to a king, ‘Worthless one’, and to nobles, ‘Wicked man’,
·God [L Who…?] is the one who says to kings, ‘You are worthless,’ or to important people, ‘You are evil.’
Wilt thou say unto a king, Thou art wicked? or to princes, Ye are ungodly?
Should anyone even say to a king, ‘You good-for-nothing scoundrel!’ or to nobles, ‘You wicked people!’
God condemns kings and rulers when they are worthless or wicked.
who says to a king, “Worthless man!” and to nobles, “Wicked men!”?
God is the one who says to kings, ‘You are worth nothing.’ And he says to important people, ‘You are evil.’
Can one say to a king, ‘You’re vile!’ or to nobles, ‘You’re wicked!’?
Is it fit to say to the king, Thou art of Belial and to the princes, Ye are ungodly?
Is it fit to say to a king, Thou art wicked? and to princes, Ye are ungodly?
Is it fit to say to a king, Thou art wicked? and to princes, Ye are ungodly?
the one who says to a king, ‘You worthless man,’ to noblemen, ‘You wicked man,’
Are you going to condemn this God who says to kings and nobles, ‘You are wicked and unjust’?
“So, Job, use your head; this is all pretty obvious. Can someone who hates order, keep order? Do you dare condemn the righteous, mighty God? Doesn’t God always tell it like it is, exposing corrupt rulers as scoundrels and criminals? Does he play favorites with the rich and famous and slight the poor? Isn’t he equally responsible to everybody? Don’t people who deserve it die without notice? Don’t wicked rulers tumble to their doom? When the so-called great ones are wiped out, we know God is working behind the scenes.
Is it fitting to say to a king, ‘You are wicked’? And to princes, ‘You are ungodly’?
Should anyone even say to a king, ‘You good-for-nothing scoundrel!’ or to nobles, ‘You wicked people!’
Who says to a king, “You are worthless!” and to nobles, “You are wicked!”
Who says to a king, ‘Worthless one,’ To nobles, ‘Wicked ones’;
God is the one who says to kings, ‘You are worthless,’ or to important people, ‘You are evil.’
who says to a king, ‘Worthless man’ and to nobles, ‘Wicked men,’
He says to kings, ‘You are worthless.’ He says to nobles, ‘You are evil.’
Is he not the One who says to kings, ‘You are worthless,’ and to nobles, ‘You are wicked,’
Is he not the One who says to kings, “You are worthless,” and to nobles, “You are wicked,”
Is it fitting to say to a king, ‘You are worthless,’ And to nobles, ‘You are wicked’?
Who says to a king, ‘You are of no worth,’ and to rulers, ‘You are sinful’?
For he says to kings, ‘You are wicked,’ and to nobles, ‘You are unjust.’
who says to a king, ‘You scoundrel!’ and to princes, ‘You wicked men!’;
who says to a king, “You scoundrel!” and to princes, “You wicked men!”;
who says to a king, “You scoundrel!” and to princes, “You wicked men!”;
who says to a king, ‘You scoundrel!’ and to princes, ‘You wicked men!’;
Is it fit to say to a melech, Thou art beli’ya’al? And to nobles, Ye are rasha.
who says to a king, ‘Worthless one,’ and to nobles, ‘Wicked man’;
who says to a king, ‘Worthless one,’ and to nobles, ‘Wicked man’;
Who says to a king, ‘Worthless man’ and to nobles, ‘Wicked men’!
Is He not the One who says to the king, “You are worthless,” and to the exalted nobility, “You are depraved.”
Who says to a king, ‘Vile!’ or to nobles, ‘Wicked!’?
He it is that saith to a king, Thou art apostate, either (a) breaker of religion, when he keepeth not rightfulness and the common good; which calleth the dukes unpious, either unfaithful. (It is he who saith to a king, Thou art an apostate, that is, a breaker of religion, when he keepeth not righteousness and the common good; he who calleth the leaders unpious, or unfaithful.)
Who hath said to a king -- `Worthless,' Unto princes -- `Wicked?'
