He delivereth the poor in his affliction, and openeth their ears in oppression.
He delivereth the afflicted by their affliction, And openeth their ear in oppression.
“He rescues the afflicted in their affliction, And opens their ears [so that they pay attention to His voice] in times of oppression.
He delivers the afflicted in their affliction and opens their ears [to His voice] in adversity.
He delivereth the poor in his affliction, and openeth their ears in oppression.
God rescues the afflicted by their affliction; he instructs them by their torment.

He saves the weak in their affliction, opens their ears through oppression.
“God, with his affliction, delivers the afflicted; and he gets their attention by pressing on them.
Hard times and trouble are God's way of getting our attention!
But he delivereth the afflicted in his affliction, and openeth their ear in [their] oppression.
He shall deliver the poor out of his distress, and shall open his ear in affliction.
God saves those who suffer by using their suffering. He uses their troubles to speak in a way that makes them listen.
But God rescues people who suffer. He uses their troubles to teach them about himself.
God delivers the afflicted by means of their affliction, and he gets their attention through their suffering.
He delivers the afflicted by their affliction and opens their ear by adversity.
He delivers the afflicted by their affliction and opens their ear by adversity.
But God saves those who ·suffer [are afflicted] ·through [or by means of] their ·suffering [affliction]; he ·gets them to listen [L opens their ear] ·through [or by means of] their pain.
He delivereth the poor in his afflictions, and openeth their ear in trouble.

But God teaches people through suffering and uses distress to open their eyes.
God rescues the afflicted by their affliction; He instructs them by their torment.
But God will save suffering people by their suffering. He gets them to listen through their pain.
He’ll deliver the afflicted through their afflictions and open their ears when they are oppressed.”
¶ He shall deliver the poor from his poverty, and in affliction shall open their ears.
He delivereth the poor in his affliction, and openeth their ears in oppression.

He delivers the afflicted by his misery, and he opens their ears by the adversity.
He delivers by distress! This makes them listen to him!
“It’s true that God is all-powerful, but he doesn’t bully innocent people. For the wicked, though, it’s a different story— he doesn’t give them the time of day, but champions the rights of their victims. He never takes his eyes off the righteous; he honors them lavishly, promotes them endlessly. When things go badly, when affliction and suffering descend, God tells them where they’ve gone wrong, shows them how their pride has caused their trouble. He forces them to heed his warning, tells them they must repent of their bad life. If they obey and serve him, they’ll have a good, long life on easy street. But if they disobey, they’ll be cut down in their prime and never know the first thing about life. Angry people without God pile grievance upon grievance, always blaming others for their troubles. Living it up in sexual excesses, virility wasted, they die young. But those who learn from their suffering, God delivers from their suffering.

But God saves those who suffer through their suffering; he gets them to listen through their pain.
He delivers the afflicted by their afflictions, he reveals himself to them by their suffering.
But God saves suffering people while they suffer. He speaks to them while they are hurting.
But those who suffer he delivers in their suffering; he speaks to them in their affliction.
But those who suffer he delivers in their suffering; he speaks to them in their affliction.

He takes those who suffer out of their suffering. He speaks to them in times of trouble.
But by means of their suffering, he rescues those who suffer. For he gets their attention through adversity.

As for the righteous—when they are afflicted— God delivers them through the affliction itself, and uses the trial to open their ears to His voice.
