Jeremiah 9:12
Who is the wise man that may understand this? And who is he to whom the mouth of the Lord hath spoken, that he may declare it? For why has the land perished and burned up like a wilderness, that none passeth through?

Adonai answers: “Because they abandoned my Torah, which I set before them, and neither listened to what I said nor lived accordingly,
I said to the Lord, “None of us can understand why the land has become like an uncrossable desert. Won’t you explain why?”

I asked, “Is there anyone around bright enough to tell us what’s going on here? Anyone who has the inside story from God and can let us in on it? “Why is the country wasted? “Why no travelers in this desert?”
