Behold, I am against thee, O inhabitant of the valley and rock of the plain, saith the Lord, who say, “Who shall come down against us? Or who shall enter into our habitations?”
Behold, I am against thee, O inhabitant of the valley, and of the rock of the plain, saith Jehovah; you that say, Who shall come down against us? or who shall enter into our habitations?
“Understand this, I am against you, O inhabitant of the valley, O rock of the plain,” says the Lord— “You who say, ‘Who will come down against us? Or who will enter into our dwelling places?’
Behold, I am against you, O inhabitant of the valley, O rock of the plain, says the Lord—you who say, Who shall come down against us? Or, Who shall enter into our dwelling places?
Behold, I am against thee, O inhabitant of the valley, and rock of the plain, saith the Lord; which say, Who shall come down against us? or who shall enter into our habitations?
I am against you, you who live in the valley, like a rock of the plain, declares the Lord, and who say, “Who will come down to attack us? Who will breach our fortresses?”
Adonai says, “I am against you, [Yerushalayim,] situated in a valley like a rock on a plain. You who say, ‘Who can come down against us? Who can enter our lairs?’ —
Jerusalem, from your mountaintop you look out over the valleys and think you are safe. But I, the Lord, am angry,
Behold, I am against thee, inhabitress of the valley, the rock of the plain, saith Jehovah; ye that say, Who shall come down against us, or who shall enter into our dwellings?
Behold I come to thee that dwellest in a valley upon a rock above a plain, saith the Lord: and you say: Who shall strike us? and who shall enter into our houses?
“Jerusalem, I am against you. You sit on top of the mountain. You sit like a queen over this valley. You people of Jerusalem say, ‘No one can attack us. No one can come into our strong city.’” This message is from the Lord.
“Behold, I am against you, O inhabitant of the valley, O rock of the plain, declares the Lord; you who say, ‘Who shall come down against us, or who shall enter our habitations?’
“Behold, I am against you, O inhabitant of the valley, O rock of the plain, declares the Lord; you who say, ‘Who shall come down against us, or who shall enter our habitations?’
“‘I am against you [C Jerusalem], you who live ·on top of the mountain over this valley [L in the valley, the rock of the plain], says the Lord. You say, “·No one can attack [L Who can come down against…?] us or come into our ·strong city [refuge].”
Behold, I come against thee, O inhabitant of the valley, and rock of the plain, saith the Lord, which say, Who shall come down against us? or who shall enter into our habitations?
“‘I’m against you, Jerusalem. You are the city that is in the valley and on the rock in the plain,’” declares the Lord. “‘But you ask, “Who can attack us? Who can enter our places of refuge?”
You, Jerusalem, are sitting high above the valleys, like a rock rising above the plain. But I will fight against you. You say that no one can attack you or break through your defenses.
Beware! I am against you, you who sit above the valley, you atop the rocky plateau— this is the Lord’s declaration— you who say, “Who can come down against us? Who can enter our hiding places?”
“‘Jerusalem, I am against you. You sit on top of the mountain. You sit over this valley, says the Lord. You say, “No one can attack us. No one can come into our strong city.”
“Look, I’m against you, city dwelling in the valley, rock of the plain,” declares the Lord, “those of you who say, ‘Who can come down against us and who can enter our habitations?’
Behold, I am against thee, O inhabitant of the valley of the rock of the plain (saith the LORD), which say, Who shall come up against us? or who shall enter into our habitations?
Behold, I am against thee, O inhabitant of the valley, and rock of the plain, saith the Lord; which say, Who shall come down against us? or who shall enter into our habitations?
Behold, I am against thee, O inhabitant of the valley, and rock of the plain, saith the Lord; which say, Who shall come down against us? or who shall enter into our habitations?
Look, I am against you, O inhabitants of the valley, O rock of the plain,” declares Yahweh; “you who say, ‘Who can descend against us, or who can enter into our hiding place?’
I will fight against this city of Jerusalem that boasts, ‘We are safe; no one can touch us here!’
“To the royal house of Judah, listen to God’s Message! House of David, listen—God’s Message to you: ‘Start each day by dealing with justice. Rescue victims from their exploiters. Prevent fire—the fire of my anger— for once it starts, it can’t be put out. Your evil regime is fuel for my anger. Don’t you realize that I’m against you, yes, against you. You think you’ve got it made, all snug and secure. You say, “Who can possibly get to us? Who can crash our party?” Well, I can—and will! I’ll punish your evil regime. I’ll start a fire that will rage unchecked, burn everything in sight to cinders.’”
See, I am against you, O inhabitant of the valley, O rocky plain, says the Lord, you men who say, “Who shall come down against us? Or who shall enter our dwellings?”
“‘I’m against you, Jerusalem. You are the city that is in the valley and on the rock in the plain,’” declares Yahweh. “‘But you ask, “Who can attack us? Who can enter our places of refuge?”
Beware! I am against you, Ruler of the Valley, Rock of the Plain—oracle of the Lord. You say, “Who will attack us, who can storm our defenses?”
“Behold, I am against you, O valley dweller, O rocky plain,” declares the Lord, “You men who say, ‘Who will come down against us? Or who will enter into our habitations?’
“‘Jerusalem, I am against you, you who live on top of the mountain over this valley, says the Lord. You say, “No one can attack us or come into our strong city.”
Listen, you who sit enthroned above the valley on a rocky plateau. I am opposed to you,’ says the Lord. ‘You boast, “No one can swoop down on us. No one can penetrate into our places of refuge.”
Jerusalem, I am against you,” announces the Lord. “You live above this valley. You are on a high, rocky plain. And you say, ‘Who can come against us? Who can enter our place of safety?’
I am against you, Jerusalem, you who live above this valley on the rocky plateau, declares the Lord— you who say, “Who can come against us? Who can enter our refuge?”
I am against you, Jerusalem, you who live above this valley on the rocky plateau, declares the Lord – you who say, ‘Who can come against us? Who can enter our refuge?’
“Behold, I am against you, O inhabitant of the valley, And rock of the plain,” says the Lord, “Who say, ‘Who shall come down against us? Or who shall enter our dwellings?’
“See, I am against you, O you who live in the valley, O rock of the plain,” says the Lord, “you who say, ‘Who will come down against us? Or who will come into our houses?’
I will personally fight against the people in Jerusalem, that mighty fortress— the people who boast, “No one can touch us here. No one can break in here.”
See, I am against you, O inhabitant of the valley, O rock of the plain, says the Lord; you who say, “Who can come down against us, or who can enter our places of refuge?”
See, I am against you, O inhabitant of the valley, O rock of the plain, says the Lord; you who say, ‘Who can come down against us, or who can enter our places of refuge?’

Hineni, I am against thee, O inhabitant of the emek (valley), and tzur (rock) of the plain, saith Hashem; which say, Who shall come down against us? Or who shall enter into our me’onot (dwelling places, homes)?
“Behold, I am against you, O inhabitant of the valley, O rock of the plain, says the Lord; you who say, ‘Who shall come down against us, or who shall enter our habitations?’
“Behold, I am against you, O inhabitant of the valley, O rock of the plain, says the Lord; you who say, ‘Who shall come down against us, or who shall enter our habitations?’
“Here I am, against you, situated in the valley, a rocky plateau”—it is a declaration of Adonai—“You are saying, ‘Who would come down against us? Who would enter into our lairs?’
I am against you, Jerusalem, enthroned high above the valley, O rock of the plain, You who boast, “Who will come down to fight against us, and who will enter our homes?”
Behold, I am against you, O inhabitant of the valley, and of the rock of the plain, says Yahweh; you that say, Who shall come down against us? or who shall enter into our habitations?
Lo! I do to thee, dwelleress of the firm valley, and plain, saith the Lord, [ye] which say, Who shall smite us, and who shall enter into our houses? (Lo! I am against thee, O dwelleress of the firm valley, and O rock of the plain, saith the Lord, Yea, ye who say, Who shall strike us, and who shall enter into our houses?)
Lo, I [am] against thee -- an affirmation of Jehovah, O inhabitant of the valley, rock of the plain, Who are saying, Who cometh down against us? And who cometh into our habitations?
