For this city hath been to Me as a provocation of Mine anger and of My fury from the day that they built it even unto this day, so that I should remove it from before My face
For this city hath been to me a provocation of mine anger and of my wrath from the day that they built it even unto this day; that I should remove it from before my face,
“From the day that they built it [during the reign of Solomon], even to this day, this city has been such a provocation of My anger and My wrath, that I must remove it from My sight,
For this city has been to Me a [such a] provocation of My anger and My wrath from the day that they [finished] building it [in the time of Solomon, who was the first Israelite king who turned to idolatry] even to this day that I must remove it from before My face—
For this city hath been to me as a provocation of mine anger and of my fury from the day that they built it even unto this day; that I should remove it from before my face,
“for this city has caused my wrath and fury from the day it was built until now. I will therefore remove it from my presence
This city has enraged me from the day it was built to this very day, and so it must be removed from my sight—
‘This city has so provoked my anger and fury from the day they built it to this day that I ought to remove it from my presence,
The kings and the officials, the priests and the prophets, and everyone else in Israel and Judah have turned from me and made me angry by worshiping idols. Again and again I have tried to teach my people to obey me, but they refuse to be corrected. I am going to get rid of Jerusalem, because its people have done nothing but evil.
For this city hath been to me [a provocation] of mine anger and of my fury from the day that they built it even unto this day; that I should remove it from before my face,
For this city hath been to me a provocation and indignation from the day that they built it, until this day, in which it shall be taken out of my sight.
“From the time that Jerusalem was built until now, the people of this city have made me angry. This city has made me very angry, so I must remove it from my sight.
The people of this city have made me very angry from the time when they built it, even until now. Because of that, I have decided to destroy it completely.
Because this city has aroused my anger and wrath from the day it was built until now, I will remove it from my sight.

Therefore this city hath been unto me as a provocation of mine anger, and of my wrath, from the day that they built it, even unto this day, that I should remove it out of my sight,
“The people in this city have made me so angry and furious from the day they built it to this day. So now I must remove this city from my presence.

“for this city has caused My wrath and fury from the day it was built until now. I will therefore remove it from My presence,
“From the day Jerusalem was built until now, they have made me very angry. Jerusalem has made me so angry I must remove it from my sight.
“Indeed, this city has provoked me to anger and wrath from the day they built it until now, and so I’ll remove it from my sight

From the time this city was built until now, it has done nothing but anger me; so I am determined to be rid of it.
“This city has made me angry from the day they built it, and now I’ve had my fill. I’m destroying it. I can’t stand to look any longer at the wicked lives of the people of Israel and Judah, deliberately making me angry, the whole lot of them—kings and leaders and priests and preachers, in the country and in the city. They’ve turned their backs on me—won’t even look me in the face!—even though I took great pains to teach them how to live. They refused to listen, refused to be taught. Why, they even set up obscene god and goddess statues in the Temple built in my honor—an outrageous desecration! And then they went out and built shrines to the god Baal in the valley of Hinnom, where they burned their children in sacrifice to the god Molech—I can hardly conceive of such evil!—turning the whole country into one huge act of sin. * * *
Indeed this city has been to Me a provocation of My anger and My fury from the day that they built it, even to this day, so that I should remove it from before My face,
“The people in this city have made me so angry and furious from the day they built it to this day. So now I must remove this city from my presence.
This city has so stirred my anger and wrath, from the day it was built to this day, that I must put it out of my sight,
“Indeed this city has been to Me a provocation of My anger and My wrath since the day that they built it, even to this day, so that it should be removed from My sight,
“Indeed this city has been to Me a provocation of My anger and My wrath from the day that they built it, even to this day, so that it should be removed from before My face,
From the day this city was built until today, it has so aroused my anger and my wrath that I intend to remove it from my sight,
“From the day Jerusalem was built until now, this city has made me angry, so angry that I must remove it from my sight.
This will happen because the people of this city have aroused my anger and my wrath since the time they built it until now. They have made me so angry that I am determined to remove it from my sight.
“This city has always stirred up my great anger. It has done it since the day it was built. Now I must remove it from my sight.
From the day it was built until now, this city has so aroused my anger and wrath that I must remove it from my sight.

For why this city is made to me in my strong vengeance and indignation (For this city hath stirred my strong vengeance and my indignation), from the day in which they built it, unto this day, in which it shall be taken away from my sight;
`For a cause of Mine anger, and a cause of My fury, hath this city been to Me, even from the day that they built it, and unto this day -- to turn it aside from before My face,
