Isaiah 38:18
For the grave cannot praise Thee, death can not celebrate Thee; they that go down into the pit cannot hope for Thy truth.
For Sheol cannot praise thee, death cannot celebrate thee: They that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth.
For Sheol (the place of the dead) cannot confess and reach out the hand to You, death cannot praise and rejoice in You; they who go down to the pit cannot hope for Your faithfulness [to Your promises; their probation is at an end, their destiny is sealed].
For the grave cannot praise thee, death can not celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth.
The underworld can’t thank you, nor can death praise you; those who go down to the pit can’t hope for your faithfulness.
“Sh’ol cannot thank you, death cannot praise you; those descending to the pit cannot hope for your truth.
No one in the world of the dead can thank you or praise you; none of those in the deep pit can hope for you to show them how faithful you are.
For not Sheol shall praise thee, nor death celebrate thee; they that go down into the pit do not hope for thy truth.
For hell shall not confess to thee, neither shall death praise thee: nor shall they that go down into the pit, look for thy truth.
The dead cannot praise you. People in Sheol cannot sing praises to you. Those who have died and gone below are not trusting in your faithfulness.
For Sheol does not thank you; death does not praise you; those who go down to the pit do not hope for your faithfulness.
For Sheol does not thank you; death does not praise you; those who go down to the pit do not hope for your faithfulness.
·People in the place of the dead [or For the grave; L For Sheol] cannot ·praise [thank] you; ·those who have died [L death] cannot ·sing praises [praise] to you; those who ·die [L go down to the pit] ·don’t trust you to help them [L cannot hope for your faithfulness].
For the grave cannot confess thee: death cannot praise thee: they that go down into the pit, cannot hope for thy truth.
Sheol doesn’t thank you! Death doesn’t praise you! Those who go down to the pit cannot expect you to be faithful.
No one in the world of the dead can praise you; The dead cannot trust in your faithfulness.
For Sheol cannot thank You; Death cannot praise You. Those who go down to the Pit cannot hope for Your faithfulness.
People in the place where the dead are cannot praise you. Those who have died cannot sing praises to you. Those who die don’t trust you to help them.
For Sheol cannot thank you, death cannot sing your praise; and those who go down to the Pit cannot hope for your faithfulness.
For the grave shall not confess thee, nor shall death praise thee; nor shall those that go down into the pit wait for thy truth.
For the grave cannot praise thee, death can not celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth.
For the grave cannot praise thee, death can not celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth.
For Sheol cannot praise you; death cannot praise you. Those who go down to the pit cannot hope for your faithfulness.
For dead men cannot praise you. They cannot be filled with hope and joy.
O Master, these are the conditions in which people live, and yes, in these very conditions my spirit is still alive— fully recovered with a fresh infusion of life! It seems it was good for me to go through all those troubles. Throughout them all you held tight to my lifeline. You never let me tumble over the edge into nothing. But my sins you let go of, threw them over your shoulder—good riddance! The dead don’t thank you, and choirs don’t sing praises from the morgue. Those buried six feet under don’t witness to your faithful ways. It’s the living—live men, live women—who thank you, just as I’m doing right now. Parents give their children full reports on your faithful ways.
For Sheol cannot thank You, death cannot praise You; those who go down into the pit cannot hope for Your faithfulness.
Sheol doesn’t thank you! Death doesn’t praise you! Those who go down to the pit cannot expect you to be faithful.
For it is not Sheol that gives you thanks, nor death that praises you; Neither do those who go down into the pit await your kindness.
“For Sheol cannot thank You, Death cannot praise You; Those who go down to the pit cannot hope for Your faithfulness.
People in the place of the dead cannot praise you; those who have died cannot sing praises to you; those who die don’t trust you to help them.
Indeed Sheol does not give you thanks; death does not praise you. Those who descend into the Pit do not anticipate your faithfulness.
People in the grave can’t praise you. Dead people can’t sing praise to you. Those who go down to the grave can’t hope for you to be faithful to them.
For the grave cannot praise you, death cannot sing your praise; those who go down to the pit cannot hope for your faithfulness.
For the grave cannot praise you, death cannot sing your praise; those who go down to the pit cannot hope for your faithfulness.
For Sheol cannot thank You, Death cannot praise You; Those who go down to the pit cannot hope for Your truth.
The place of the dead cannot thank You. Death cannot praise You. Those who go down to the grave cannot hope that You will be faithful.
For the dead cannot praise you; they cannot raise their voices in praise. Those who go down to the grave can no longer hope in your faithfulness.
For Sheol cannot thank you, death cannot praise you; those who go down to the Pit cannot hope for your faithfulness.
For Sheol cannot thank you, death cannot praise you; those who go down to the Pit cannot hope for your faithfulness.
For Sheol cannot thank you, death cannot praise you; those who go down to the Pit cannot hope for your faithfulness.
For Sheol cannot thank you, death cannot praise you; those who go down to the Pit cannot hope for your faithfulness.
For Sheol cannot thank Thee, mavet can not praise Thee; they that go down into the bor (pit) cannot hope for Thy emes.
For Sheol cannot thank thee, death cannot praise thee; those who go down to the pit cannot hope for thy faithfulness.
For Sheol cannot thank thee, death cannot praise thee; those who go down to the pit cannot hope for thy faithfulness.
And so I join the living in giving thanks to You. After all, thankful voices never rise from the land of the dead. After all, the songs of praise never soar from death’s dark realm. Those who go down into the pit—that great black nothingness— They can’t even begin to hope for Your faithfulness.
For Sheol can’t praise you. Death can’t celebrate you. Those who go down into the pit can’t hope for your truth.
For not hell shall acknowledge to thee, neither death shall praise thee; they that go down into the pit, shall not abide thy truth. (For Sheol, or the grave, shall not acknowledge thee, nor shall death praise thee; and they who go down into the pit, shall not wait for thy truth.)
For Sheol doth not confess Thee, Death doth not praise Thee, Those going down to the pit hope not for Thy truth.
