Yea, he had power over the angel and prevailed; he wept, and made supplication unto Him; he found Him in Bethel, and there He spoke with us,

He wrestled with the angel and prevailed; He wept [in repentance] and sought His favor. He met Him at Bethel And there God spoke with [him and through him with] us—
Yes, he had power over the Angel [of the Lord] and prevailed; he wept and sought His favor. He met Him in Bethel, and there [God] spoke with [him and through him with] us—
Yea, he had power over the angel, and prevailed: he wept, and made supplication unto him: he found him in Beth-el, and there he spake with us;
Jacob struggled with the angel and prevailed; he wept and sought his favor. He found him at Bethel, and there he spoke with him.
He struggled with the messenger and survived; he wept and sought his favor; he met him at Bethel, and there he spoke with him.
In the womb he took his brother by the heel; in the strength of his manhood he fought with God.
At Bethel, Jacob wrestled with an angel and won; then with tears in his eyes, he asked for a blessing, and God spoke to us there.
Yea, he wrestled with the Angel, and prevailed; he wept, and made supplication unto him: he found him in Bethel, and there he spoke with us,
And he prevailed over the angel, and was strengthened: he wept, and made supplication to him: he found him in Bethel, and there he spoke with us.
Jacob wrestled with God’s angel and won. He cried and asked for a favor. That happened at Bethel. There he spoke to us.
He fought against an angel and he won. He wept and he asked God to bless him. There at Bethel, Jacob met with God. God spoke to him there.
He wrestled with the Angel and prevailed. He wept and sought his favor. He found him at Bethel, and there he spoke with him,
He strove with the angel and prevailed; he wept and sought his favor. He met God at Bethel, and there God spoke with us—

When Jacob ·wrestled [struggled] with the angel and ·won [prevailed], he ·cried [wept] and ·asked for his blessing [pleaded for/sought his favor; Gen. 32:22–32]. Later, ·God met with him [he found him] at Bethel and spoke with him there [Gen. 35:1].
And had power over the Angel, and prevailed: he wept and prayed unto him: he found him in Bethel, and there he spake with us.
He struggled with the Messenger and won. Jacob cried and pleaded with him. Jacob found him at Bethel, and he talked with him there.

Yes, he wrestled with the Angel and prevailed. He wept and pleaded for a blessing from him. He met God there at Bethel face-to-face. God spoke to him—
Ephraim, obsessed with god-fantasies, chases ghosts and phantoms. He tells lies nonstop, soul-destroying lies. Both Ephraim and Judah made deals with Assyria and tried to get an inside track with Egypt. God is bringing charges against Israel. Jacob’s children are hauled into court to be punished. In the womb, that heel, Jacob, got the best of his brother. When he grew up, he tried to get the best of God. But God would not be bested. God bested him. Brought to his knees, Jacob wept and prayed. God found him at Bethel. That’s where he spoke with him. God is God-of-the-Angel-Armies, God-Revealed, God-Known. * * *
He struggled with the angel, and prevailed; he wept, and sought favor from Him. He found Him in Bethel, and there He spoke with us.
He struggled with the Messenger and won. Jacob cried and pleaded with him. Jacob found him at Bethel, and he talked with him there.
In the womb he supplanted his brother, and in his vigor he contended with a divine being;
Yes, he wrestled with the angel and prevailed; He wept and implored His favor. He found Him at Bethel, And there He spoke with us,

While still in the womb he supplanted his brother, and as a man he struggled with God.
When Jacob wrestled with the angel and won, he cried and asked for his blessing. Later, God met with him at Bethel and spoke with him there.
He struggled with an angel and prevailed; he wept and begged for his favor. He found God at Bethel, and there he spoke with him!
At Peniel he struggled with the angel and won. Jacob wept and begged for his blessing. God also met with him at Bethel. He talked with him there.
He struggled with the angel and overcame him; he wept and begged for his favor. He found him at Bethel and talked with him there—
He struggled with the angel and overcame him; he wept and begged for his favour. He found him at Bethel and talked with him there –
Yes, he struggled with the Angel and prevailed; He wept, and sought favor from Him. He found Him in Bethel, And there He spoke to us—
He fought with the angel and won. He cried and begged for His favor. He met God at Bethel, and God spoke with him there.

Yea, he (Yisroel) sarah (had power over) the malach, and prevailed; he wept, and made techinnah unto Him; He found him at Beit-El, and there He spoke with us;

In the womb he grasped his brother’s heel, and in his vigor he strove with God.
He wrestled with a heavenly messenger and won; he wept and begged for his help. It was the Eternal, the Commander of heavenly armies, who met him at Bethel; the Eternal Himself spoke with him there; the Eternal One is His memorial name.
Indeed, he struggled with the angel, and prevailed; he wept, and made supplication to him. He found him at Bethel, and there he spoke with us,
And he was strong to the angel, and was comforted [And he had victory at the angel, and he was comforted]; he wept, and prayed (to) him; in Bethel he found him, and there he spake with us. (And he was strong against the angel/And he fought against the angel, and was the stronger; and he wept, and prayed to him; yea, he found him in Bethel, and there he spoke with him.)
Yea, he is a prince unto the Messenger, And he overcometh [by] weeping, And he maketh supplication to Him, At Bethel He doth find him, And there He doth speak with us,
