And the man, wondering at her, held his peace to learn whether the Lord had made his journey prosperous or not.
And the man looked stedfastly on her, holding his peace, to know whether Jehovah had made his journey prosperous or not.
Meanwhile, the man stood gazing at Rebekah in [reverent] silence, [waiting] to know if the Lord had made his trip successful or not.

And the man was astonished at her, remaining silent, to know whether Jehovah had made his journey prosperous or not.
But he musing beheld her with silence, desirous to know whether the Lord had made his journey prosperous or not.
The servant quietly watched her. He wanted to be sure that the Lord had given him an answer and had made his trip successful.

The servant said no more, but watched her carefully to see if she would finish the job, so that he would know whether she was the one.
She said, “Certainly, drink!” And she held the jug so that he could drink. When he had satisfied his thirst she said, “I’ll get water for your camels, too, until they’ve drunk their fill.” She promptly emptied her jug into the trough and ran back to the well to fill it, and she kept at it until she had watered all the camels. The man watched, silent. Was this God’s answer? Had God made his trip a success or not?

Soothly he beheld her privily, and would wit whether the Lord had sped his way, or nay. (And he secretly watched her, and wanted to know if the Lord had sped his way, or not.)
And the man, wondering at her, remaineth silent, to know whether Jehovah hath made his way prosperous or not.
