“Reuben, thou art my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power.
Reuben, thou art my first-born, my might, and the beginning of my strength; The pre-eminence of dignity, and the pre-eminence of power.
“Reuben, you are my firstborn; My might, the beginning of my strength and vigor, Preeminent in dignity and preeminent in power [that should have been your birthright].
Reuben, you are my firstborn, my might, the beginning (the firstfruits) of my manly strength and vigor; [your birthright gave you] the preeminence in dignity and the preeminence in power.
¶ Reuben, thou art my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power:
Reuben, you are my oldest son, my strength and my first contender, superior in status and superior in might.
“Re’uven, you are my firstborn, my strength, the firstfruits of my manhood.
Reuben, you are my oldest, born at the peak of my powers; you were an honored leader.
Reuben, thou art my firstborn, My might, and the firstfruits of my vigour: Excellency of dignity, and excellency of strength.
Ruben, my firstborn, thou art my strength, and the beginning of my sorrow: excelling in gifts, greater in command.
“Reuben, my first son, you are my strength, the first proof of my manhood. You were the most honored and powerful of all my sons.
“Reuben, you are my firstborn, my might, and the firstfruits of my strength, preeminent in dignity and preeminent in power.
“Reuben, you are my firstborn, my might, and the firstfruits of my strength, pre-eminent in dignity and pre-eminent in power.
“Reuben, my ·first son [firstborn], you are my strength. ·Your birth showed I could be a father [L …and the first of my virility/vigor]. ·You have the highest position among my sons [L …excelling in pride/rank/authority], and you are the most powerful [L …excelling in power].
¶ Reuben mine eldest son, thou art my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power:
Reuben, you are my firstborn, my strength, the very first son I had, first in majesty and first in power.
“Reuben, my first-born, you are my strength And the first child of my manhood, The proudest and strongest of all my sons.
Reuben, you are my firstborn, my strength and the firstfruits of my virility, excelling in prominence, excelling in power.
“Reuben, my first son, you are my strength. Your birth showed I could be a father. You have the highest position among my sons. You are the most powerful.
“Reuben, you’re my firstborn, my strength, and the first fruit of my vitality. You excel in rank and excel in power.
Reuben, thou art my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, principal in dignity, and the principal in power.
Reuben, thou art my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power:

Reuben, you’re my firstborn, my strength, first proof of my manhood, at the top in honor and at the top in power, But like a bucket of water spilled, you’ll be at the top no more, Because you climbed into your father’s marriage bed, mounting that couch, and you defiled it.
Reuben, you are my firstborn, my might and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power.
Reuben, you are my firstborn, my strength, the very first son I had, first in majesty and first in power.
