The man then took me to the south gate. He measured the walls and the entrance room of this gate, and the measurements were exactly the same as those of the other two gates.
And he brought me toward the south: and behold, there was a gate toward the south; and he measured its posts and its projections according to these measures.
And he brought me out to the way of the south, and behold the gate that looked to the south: and he measured the front thereof, and the porch thereof according to the former measures.
Then the man led me to the south wall. I saw a gate in the south wall. He measured its side walls and its porch. They measured the same as the other gates.
Next, the man took me to the south side of the yard. I saw another gate there. The man measured the walls and the rooms in that entrance. They were the same size as the other walls and rooms.
Next, he led me toward the south, and there also was a gatehouse on the south side of the temple compound. He measured its gateposts and its vestibule, and the measurements were like the others.
And he led me toward the south, and behold, there was a gate on the south. And he measured its jambs and its vestibule; they had the same size as the others.

He brought me to the south side, and there was also a gate on the south. He measured its pilasters and portico; they had the same measurements as the others.
Then the man led me south. I saw a gate facing south. He measured its inner walls and its porch. They measured the same as the other gates.
Then he led me toward the south, where there was a gate with side pillar and porch measurements identical to the others.
After that he brought me toward the south, and behold a gate toward the south; and he measured its portals and its arches according to these measures.

The porch with its windows was the same size as those previously mentioned. It also had seven steps up to it. Its porch opened onto the outside courtyard, with palm trees decorating its gateposts on both sides. Opposite to it, the gate complex for the inner court faced south. He measured the distance across the courtyard from gate to gate: one hundred seventy-five feet. * * *
