When I applied mine heart to know wisdom, and to see the business that is done upon the earth (for also is there that neither day nor night seeth sleep with his eyes),

When I applied my mind to know wisdom and to see the activities [of mankind] that take place upon the earth—how some men seem to sleep neither day nor night—
When I applied my mind to know wisdom and to see the business activity and the painful effort that take place upon the earth—how neither day nor night some men’s eyes sleep—
¶ When I applied mine heart to know wisdom, and to see the business that is done upon the earth: (for also there is that neither day nor night seeth sleep with his eyes:)
When I applied my mind to know wisdom and to observe the activity that is done on the earth (even though one’s eyes do not close in sleep day or night),
Then I set my mind to know wisdom and to observe the business that happens on earth, even going without sleep day and night
When I applied myself to gain wisdom and to observe how people occupy themselves on earth, that people’s eyes don’t see sleep either by day or by night,
Day and night I went without sleep, trying to understand what goes on in this world.
When I applied my heart to know wisdom, and to see the business that is done upon the earth (for also there is that neither day nor night seeth sleep with his eyes),
And I applied my heart to know wisdom, and to understand the distraction that is upon earth: for there are some that day and night take no sleep with their eyes.
I carefully studied the things people do in this life. I saw how busy people are. They work day and night, and they almost never sleep.
I tried very much to become wise. I wanted to understand the things that people do on the earth. People work in the day and in the night and they do not sleep.
When I applied my heart to know wisdom and to observe the tiresome business done on the earth (even though it keeps a person from sleeping day or night),
When I applied my heart to know wisdom, and to see the business that is done on earth, how neither day nor night do one's eyes see sleep,
When I applied my heart to know wisdom, and to see the business that is done on earth, how neither day nor night do one's eyes see sleep,
I ·tried to understand [L gave my heart to know] all that happens on earth. ·I saw how busy people are, working day and night and hardly ever sleeping [L No one sleeps day or night].
When I applied mine heart to know wisdom, and to behold the business that is done on earth, that neither day nor night the eyes of man take sleep,
When I carefully considered how to study wisdom and how to look at the work that is done on earth (even going without sleep day and night),
Whenever I tried to become wise and learn what goes on in the world, I realized that you could stay awake night and day
When I applied my mind to know wisdom and to observe the activity that is done on the earth (even though one’s eyes do not close in sleep day or night),
I used my mind to learn about all that happens on earth. I saw how busy people are. They work day and night and hardly ever sleep.
When I dedicated myself to experience wisdom and to observe what is undertaken on earth—even going without sleep day and night—
Therefore I applied mine heart to know wisdom and to see the business that is done upon the earth (for also there is he that neither day nor night sees sleep with his eyes).

When I gave my heart to know wisdom and to see the endeavor which has been done on the earth (even though one never sees sleep with his eyes day or night),
I applied my mind to know wisdom and to understand the business that is done on earth—how neither day nor night one’s eyes see sleep.
In my search for wisdom I observed all that was going on everywhere across the earth—ceaseless activity, day and night. (Of course, only God can see everything, and even the wisest man who says he knows everything, doesn’t!)
When I determined to load up on wisdom and examine everything taking place on earth, I realized that if you keep your eyes open day and night without even blinking, you’ll still never figure out the meaning of what God is doing on this earth. Search as hard as you like, you’re not going to make sense of it. No matter how smart you are, you won’t get to the bottom of it.
When I set my heart to know wisdom and to experience the affairs that are done on earth, though day and night there is no sleep for one’s eyes,
When I carefully considered how to study wisdom and how to look at the work that is done on earth (even going without sleep day and night),
I applied my heart to know wisdom and to see the business that is done on earth, though neither by day nor by night do one’s eyes see sleep,
When I devoted my mind to know wisdom and to see the business which has been done on the earth (even though one should never sleep day or night),
When I gave my heart to know wisdom and to see the task which has been done on the earth (even though one should never sleep day or night),
Having pursued my goal to acquire wisdom and to observe the tasks undertaken on earth by man, whose eyes do not find rest either by day or by night,
I tried to understand all that happens on earth. I saw how busy people are, working day and night and hardly ever sleeping.
When I tried to gain wisdom and to observe the activity on earth— even though it prevents anyone from sleeping day or night—
I used my mind to understand what it really means to be wise. I wanted to observe the hard work people do on earth. They don’t close their eyes and go to sleep day or night.
When I applied my mind to know wisdom and to observe the labor that is done on earth—people getting no sleep day or night—
When I applied my mind to know wisdom and to observe the labour that is done on earth – people getting no sleep day or night –
When I applied my heart to know wisdom and to see the business that is done on earth, even though one sees no sleep day or night,
I gave my heart to know wisdom and to see the work which has been done on the earth, not sleeping day or night.
In my search for wisdom and in my observation of people’s burdens here on earth, I discovered that there is ceaseless activity, day and night.
When I applied my mind to know wisdom, and to see the business that is done on earth, how one’s eyes see sleep neither day nor night,

When I applied my heart to know wisdom and to observe the activity that is done upon the earth (his eyes not seeing sleep either day or night),
When I applied myself to the study of wisdom and reflected on the kinds of tasks that occupy people’s attention on earth, I noticed how little sleep they generally get, whether day or night.
When I applied my heart to know wisdom, and to see the business that is done on the earth (even though eyes see no sleep day or night),
And I setted mine heart to know wisdom, and to understand the parting, which is turned in earth. A man is, that by days and nights, taketh not sleep with his eyes. (And I set my heart to know wisdom, and to understand what is done on the earth. And in trying to understand this, a person might not close his eyes in sleep for many days and nights.)
When I gave my heart to know wisdom and to see the business that hath been done on the earth, (for there is also a spectator in whose eyes sleep is not by day and by night),
