Ecclesiastes 5:17
All his days also he eateth in darkness, and hath much sorrow and wrath with his sickness.
All his days also he eateth in darkness, and he is sore vexed, and hath sickness and wrath.
All of his life he also eats in darkness [cheerlessly, without sweetness and light], with great frustration, sickness, and anger.
All his days also he eats in darkness [cheerlessly, with no sweetness and light in them], and much sorrow and sickness and wrath are his.
All his days also he eateth in darkness, and he hath much sorrow and wrath with his sickness.
What’s more, they constantly eat in darkness, with much aggravation, grief, and anger.
This is what I have seen to be good: that it is appropriate for a person to eat, drink and enjoy the good that results from all his work that he engages in under the sun for all the days of his life that God has given him, for this is his allotted portion.
Besides all this, they are always gloomy at mealtime, and they are troubled, sick, and bitter.
All his days also he eateth in darkness, and hath much vexation, and sickness, and irritation.
This therefore hath seemed good to me, that a man should eat and drink, and enjoy the fruit of his labour, wherewith he hath laboured under the sun, all the days of his life, which God hath given him: and this is his portion.
They only get days that are filled with sadness and sorrow. In the end, they are troubled, sick, and angry.
Moreover, all his days he eats in darkness in much vexation and sickness and anger.
Moreover, all his days he eats in darkness in much vexation and sickness and anger.
·All they get are days full of sadness and sorrow [L They eat all their days in darkness], and they end up sick, defeated, and ·angry [frustrated].
Behold then, what I have seen good, that it is comely to eat, and to drink, and to take pleasure in all his labor, wherein he travaileth under the sun, the whole number of the days of his life, which God giveth him: for this is his portion.
They spend their entire lives in darkness, in constant frustration, sickness, and resentment.
We get to live our lives in darkness and grief, worried, angry, and sick.
What is more, he eats in darkness all his days, with much sorrow, sickness, and anger.
All he gets are days filled with sadness and sorrow. He ends up sick, defeated and angry.
Furthermore, all his days he lives in darkness with great sorrow, anger, and affliction.
In addition to this, all the days of his life he shall eat in darkness, with much wrath and pain and sorrow sickness.
All his days also he eateth in darkness, and he hath much sorrow and wrath with his sickness.
All his days also he eateth in darkness, and he hath much sorrow and wrath with his sickness.
Also, he eats in darkness all his days; he is frustrated in much sickness and resentment.
All the rest of his life he is under a cloud—gloomy, discouraged, frustrated, and angry.
Here’s a piece of bad luck I’ve seen happen: A man hoards far more wealth than is good for him And then loses it all in a bad business deal. He fathered a child but hasn’t a cent left to give him. He arrived naked from the womb of his mother; He’ll leave in the same condition—with nothing. This is bad luck, for sure—naked he came, naked he went. So what was the point of working for a salary of smoke? All for a miserable life spent in the dark?
Moreover, in all his days he eats in darkness, while he is greatly irritated in sickness and anger.
They spend their entire lives in darkness, in constant frustration, sickness, and resentment.
Here is what I see as good: It is appropriate to eat and drink and prosper from all the toil one toils at under the sun during the limited days of life God gives us; for this is our lot.
Throughout his life he also eats in darkness with great vexation, sickness and anger.
All they get are days full of sadness and sorrow, and they end up sick, defeated, and angry.
Surely, he ate in darkness every day of his life, and he suffered greatly with sickness and anger.
All their lives they eat in darkness. Their lives are full of trouble, suffering and anger.
All their days they eat in darkness, with great frustration, affliction and anger.
All their days they eat in darkness, with great frustration, affliction and anger.
All his days he also eats in darkness, And he has much sorrow and sickness and anger.
All his life he eats in darkness with much sorrow, sickness and anger.
Throughout their lives, they live under a cloud—frustrated, discouraged, and angry.
Besides, all their days they eat in darkness, in much vexation and sickness and resentment.
Besides, all their days they eat in darkness, in much vexation and sickness and resentment.
Besides, all their days they eat in darkness, in much vexation and sickness and resentment.
Besides, all their days they eat in darkness, in much vexation and sickness and resentment.
All his yamim also he eateth in choshech, and he hath much ka’as (grief, vexation) and sickness and anger.
and spent all his days in darkness and grief, in much vexation and sickness and resentment?
and spent all his days in darkness and grief, in much vexation and sickness and resentment?
Behold, this is what I myself have seen. It is beneficial and good for one to eat and drink, and to enjoy all of his toil that he labors under the sun during the few days of his life that God has given him—for this is his reward.
So all our days we eat in darkness, with mounting frustration, suffering, and anger.
All his days he also eats in darkness, he is frustrated, and has sickness and wrath.
In all the days of his life he ate in darknesses, and in many busynesses, and in neediness, and sorrow.
Also all his days in darkness he consumeth, and sadness, and wrath, and sickness abound.
