Ecclesiastes 1:10

Is there any thing whereof it may be said, “See, this is new”? It hath been already in olden times which were before us.
Is there a thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been long ago, in the ages which were before us.
Is there anything of which it can be said, “See this, it is new”? It has already existed for [the vast] ages [of time recorded or unrecorded] Which were before us.
Is there a thing of which it may be said, See, this is new? It has already been, in the vast ages of time [recorded or unrecorded] which were before us.
Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us.
Can one say about anything, “Look, this is new”? It has already existed in the ages before us.
People may say about something: “Look at this! It’s new!” But it was already around for ages before us.
Is there something of which it is said, “See, this is new”? It existed already in the ages before us.
Someone might say, “Here is something new!” But it happened before, long before we were born.
Is there a thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? It hath been already in the ages which were before us.
Nothing under the sun is new, neither is any man able to say: Behold this is new: for it hath already gone before in the ages that were before us.
Someone might say, “Look, this is new,” but that thing has always been here. It was here before we were.
People may say, ‘Look! Here is something new!’ But really it happened long ago, before we were born.
Is there a single thing about which one can say, “Look, this is new”? It was already here ages ago, long before us.
Is there a thing of which it is said, “See, this is new”? It has been already in the ages before us.
Is there a thing of which it is said, “See, this is new”? It has been already in the ages before us.
·Someone might say [L Here is a common expression], “Look, this is new,” but ·really it has always been here [it was already here long ago]. It ·was here before we were [existed before our time].
Is there anything, whereof one may say, Behold this, it is new? it hath been already in the old time that was before us.
Can you say that anything is new? It has already been here long before us.
“Look,” they say, “here is something new!” But no, it has all happened before, long before we were born.
Can one say about anything, “Look, this is new”? It has already existed in the ages before us.
A person might say, “Look, this is new!” But really it has always been here. It was here before we were!
Does anything exist about which someone might say, “Look at this! Is this new?” It happened ages ago; it existed before we did.
Is there any thing of which it may be said, See, this is new? it has been already of old time which was before us.
Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us.
Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us.
Is there anything of which one might say, “See this, it is new”? Already it has been for ages Which were before us.
There is a thing of which it is said, “Look at this! This is new!” But it already existed in ages past before us.
everything is unutterably weary and tiresome. No matter how much we see, we are never satisfied; no matter how much we hear, we are not content. History merely repeats itself. Nothing is truly new; it has all been done or said before. What can you point to that is new? How do you know it didn’t exist long ages ago? We don’t remember what happened in those former times, and in the future generations no one will remember what we have done back here.
Smoke, nothing but smoke. [That’s what the Quester says.] There’s nothing to anything—it’s all smoke. What’s there to show for a lifetime of work, a lifetime of working your fingers to the bone? One generation goes its way, the next one arrives, but nothing changes—it’s business as usual for old planet earth. The sun comes up and the sun goes down, then does it again, and again—the same old round. The wind blows south, the wind blows north. Around and around and around it blows, blowing this way, then that—the whirling, erratic wind. All the rivers flow into the sea, but the sea never fills up. The rivers keep flowing to the same old place, and then start all over and do it again. Everything’s boring, utterly boring— no one can find any meaning in it. Boring to the eye, boring to the ear. What was will be again, what happened will happen again. There’s nothing new on this earth. Year after year it’s the same old thing. Does someone call out, “Hey, this is new”? Don’t get excited—it’s the same old story. Nobody remembers what happened yesterday. And the things that will happen tomorrow? Nobody’ll remember them either. Don’t count on being remembered.
Is there a matter where it is said, “See, this is truly new”? Long ago in the past every matter has already been in our midst.
Can you say that anything is new? It has already been here long before us.
Even the thing of which we say, “See, this is new!” has already existed in the ages that preceded us.
Is there anything of which one might say, “See this, it is new”? It has already existed for ages Which were before us.
Is there anything of which one might say, “See this, it is new”? Already it has existed for ages Which were before us.
Whatever is perceived to be new has already existed in the ages before us.
Someone might say, “Look, this is new,” but really it has always been here. It was here before we were.
Is there anything about which someone can say, “Look at this! It is new”? It was already done long ago, before our time.
There isn’t anything about which someone can say, “Look! Here’s something new.” It was already here long ago. It was here before we were.
Is there anything of which one can say, “Look! This is something new”? It was here already, long ago; it was here before our time.
Is there anything of which one can say, ‘Look! This is something new’? It was here already, long ago; it was here before our time.
Is there anything of which it may be said, “See, this is new”? It has already been in ancient times before us.
Is there anything of which one might say, “See, this is new”? It has already been there since long before us.
Sometimes people say, “Here is something new!” But actually it is old; nothing is ever truly new.
Is there a thing of which it is said, ‘See, this is new’? It has already been, in the ages before us.
Is there a thing of which it is said, ‘See, this is new’? It has already been, in the ages before us.
Is there a thing of which it is said, “See, this is new”? It has already been, in the ages before us.
Is there a thing of which it is said, “See, this is new”? It has already been in the ages before us.
Is there anything whereof it may be said, See, this is chadash? L’olamim (ages ago), which were before us, it hath been already.
Is there a thing of which it is said, “See, this is new”? It has been already, in the ages before us.
Is there a thing of which it is said, “See, this is new”? It has been already, in the ages before us.
Is there anything about which is said, “Look! This is new!”? It was already here long ago, in the ages long before us.
One person may say of some idea, “Pay attention to this; it’s original!” But that same idea has already been expressed; it’s been with us through the ages.
Is there a thing of which it may be said, “Behold, this is new?” It has been long ago, in the ages which were before us.
neither any man may say, Lo! this thing is new; for now it went before in worlds, that were before us. (nor can anyone say, Lo! this is new; for it hath already come before, in the time that was before us.)
There is a thing of which [one] saith: `See this, it [is] new!' already it hath been in the ages that were before us!
