For they know not to do right,” saith the Lord, “who store up violence and robbery in their palaces.”

The Lord has said that they don’t even know how to do right. They have become rich from violence and robbery.

And they have not known to do the right thing, saith the Lord, storing up iniquity, and robberies in their houses.
Go to the high towers in Ashdod and in Egypt and announce this message from the Lord: “Come together on the mountains of Samaria. See the great confusion there because the people don’t know how to live right. See how cruel they are to others. They take things from people to hide in their high towers. Their treasuries are filled with the things they have taken in war.”

“The people don’t know how to do what is right,” says the Lord. “Their ·strong buildings [fortresses; palaces] are filled with ·treasures they took by force from others [the spoils of violence and robbery].”
For they know not to do right, saith the Lord: they store up violence, and robbery in their palaces.
Those who collect profits in their palaces through violent and destructive acts don’t know how to do what is right, declares the Lord.
The Lord says, “These people fill their mansions with things taken by crime and violence. They don't even know how to be honest.
The people are incapable of doing right— this is the Lord’s declaration— those who store up violence and destruction in their citadels.
“The people don’t know how to do what is right,” says the Lord. “Their strong cities are filled with treasures they took by force from others.”
Because they do not know how to act right,” declares the Lord, “they are filling their strongholds with treasures that they took from others by violence into their fortified citadels.”
For they do not know to do right, said the LORD, storing up violence and robbery in their palaces.

My people have forgotten what it means to do right,” says the Lord. “Their beautiful homes are full of the loot from their thefts and banditry.
Announce to the forts of Assyria, announce to the forts of Egypt— Tell them, “Gather on the Samaritan mountains, take a good, hard look: what a snake pit of brutality and terror! They can’t—or won’t—do one thing right.” God said so. “They stockpile violence and blight. Therefore”—this is God’s Word—“an enemy will surround the country. He’ll strip you of your power and plunder your forts.”

They do not know how to be honest, —declares Adonai— those who are saving up violence and destruction in their citadels.
Eternal One: Those who fill their fortresses with finery through violence and robbery have no idea how to do what is right.
“Indeed they don’t know to do right,” says Yahweh, “Who hoard plunder and loot in their palaces.”
And they could not do rightful thing/And they knew not (to) do rightful thing, saith the Lord, and they treasured wickedness and raven in their houses. (And they did not know how to do what is right/And they do not know how to be honest, saith the Lord, and they treasured wickedness and spoils in their houses.)
And they have not known to act straightforwardly, An affirmation of Jehovah, Who are treasuring up violence and spoil in their palaces.
