And she said unto him, “There is no cause. This evil in sending me away is greater than the other that thou did unto me.” But he would not hearken unto her.
And she said unto him, Not so, because this great wrong in putting me forth is worse than the other that thou didst unto me. But he would not hearken unto her.
But she said, “No, because this wrong of sending me away is worse than the other that you have done to me!” But he would not listen to her.
But she said, No! This great evil of sending me away is worse than what you did to me. But he would not listen to her.
And she said unto him, There is no cause: this evil in sending me away is greater than the other that thou didst unto me. But he would not hearken unto her.
“No,” she cried, “sending me away is much worse than the great wrong you’ve already done to me!” But he refused to listen to her.
“No, my brother!” she said. “Sending me away would be worse than the wrong you’ve already done.” But Amnon wouldn’t listen to her.
“No,” she objected, “because throwing me out like this is an even worse thing than what you’ve already done to me!” But he wouldn’t listen to her;
She said, “Don't send me away! That would be worse than what you have already done.” But Amnon would not listen.
And she said to him, There is no cause for this evil in sending me away, [which] is greater than the other that thou didst to me. But he would not hearken to her.
She answered him: This evil which now thou dost against me, in driving me away, is greater than that which thou didst before. And he would not hearken to her:
Tamar said to Amnon, “No! Don’t send me away like this. That would be even worse than what you did before!” But Amnon refused to listen to Tamar.
But Tamar replied, ‘No, I will not go! If you send me away, that would be even worse. It would be more evil that what you have already done to me.’ But Amnon refused to listen to her.
She said to him, “There is no excuse for that. To send me away is a greater wrong than what you already did to me.” But he was not willing to listen to her.
But she said to him, “No, my brother, for this wrong in sending me away is greater than the other that you did to me.” But he would not listen to her.
But she said to him, “No, my brother, for this wrong in sending me away is greater than the other that you did to me.” But he would not listen to her.
Tamar said to him, “No! Sending me away would be ·worse [a greater wrong] than what you’ve already done [L to me]!” But he refused to listen to her.
And she answered him, There is no cause: this evil (to put me away) is greater than the other that thou didst unto me: but he would not hear her,
She said to him, “No, sending me away is a greater wrong than the other thing you did to me!” But he wouldn’t listen to her.
“No,” she answered. “To send me away like this is a greater crime than what you just did!” But Amnon would not listen to her;
“No,” she cried, “sending me away is much worse than the great wrong you’ve already done to me!” But he refused to listen to her.
Tamar said to him, “No! Sending me away would be an even greater evil. That would be worse than what you’ve already done!” But he refused to listen to her.
Even so, she tried to tell him, “No! After all, it’s more wrong to send me away than what you just did to me!” But he was unwilling to listen to her.
And she said unto him, There is no cause; this evil in sending me away is greater than the other that thou didst unto me. But he would not hearken unto her.
And she said unto him, There is no cause: this evil in sending me away is greater than the other that thou didst unto me. But he would not hearken unto her.
And she said unto him, There is no cause: this evil in sending me away is greater than the other that thou didst unto me. But he would not hearken unto her.
But she said to him, “No, because this wrong in sending me away is greater than the other that you have done to me!” But he was not willing to listen to her.
She said to him, “No, because this evil in sending me away is greater than the other you have done to me.” But he was not willing to listen to her.
“No, no!” she cried. “To reject me now is a greater crime than the other you did to me.” But he wouldn’t listen to her.
“Oh no, brother,” she said. “Please! This is an even worse evil than what you just did to me!” But he wouldn’t listen to her. He called for his valet. “Get rid of this woman. Get her out of my sight! And lock the door after her.” The valet threw her out and locked the door behind her. She was wearing a long-sleeved gown. (That’s how virgin princesses used to dress from early adolescence on.) Tamar poured ashes on her head, then she ripped the long-sleeved gown, held her head in her hands, and walked away, sobbing as she went.
She said to him, “No, because this great offense of dismissing me is worse than the other which you did to me.” But he refused to listen to her.
She said to him, “No, sending me away is a greater wrong than the other thing you did to me!” But he wouldn’t listen to her.
She replied, “No, brother, because sending me away would be far worse than this evil thing you have done to me.” He would not listen to her,
But she said to him, “No, because this wrong in sending me away is greater than the other that you have done to me!” Yet he would not listen to her.
But she said to him, “No, because this wrong in sending me away is greater than the other that you have done to me!” Yet he would not listen to her.
But she answered: “No, my brother. If you send me away, that would be an even greater wrong than the other wrong you perpetrated against me.” However, he refused to listen to her.
Tamar said to him, “No! Sending me away would be worse than what you’ve already done!” But he refused to listen to her.
But she said to him, “No I won’t, for sending me away now would be worse than what you did to me earlier!” But he refused to listen to her.
“No!” she said to him. “Don’t send me away. That would be worse than what you have already done to me.” But he refused to listen to her.
“No!” she said to him. “Sending me away would be a greater wrong than what you have already done to me.” But he refused to listen to her.
‘No!’ she said to him. ‘Sending me away would be a greater wrong than what you have already done to me.’ But he refused to listen to her.
So she said to him, “No, indeed! This evil of sending me away is worse than the other that you did to me.” But he would not listen to her.
But she said to him, “No! Sending me away is worse than what you have done to me!” But he would not listen to her.
“No, no!” Tamar cried. “Sending me away now is worse than what you’ve already done to me.” But Amnon wouldn’t listen to her.
But she said to him, ‘No, my brother; for this wrong in sending me away is greater than the other that you did to me.’ But he would not listen to her.
But she said to him, ‘No, my brother; for this wrong in sending me away is greater than the other that you did to me.’ But he would not listen to her.
But she said to him, “No, my brother; for this wrong in sending me away is greater than the other that you did to me.” But he would not listen to her.
But she said to him, “No, my brother, for this wrong in sending me away is greater than the other that you did to me.” But he would not listen to her.
And she said unto him, No, do not this ra’ah in sending me away which is gedolah than the other that thou didst unto me. But he would not pay heed unto her.
But she said to him, “No, my brother; for this wrong in sending me away is greater than the other which you did to me.” But he would not listen to her.
But she said to him, “No, my brother; for this wrong in sending me away is greater than the other which you did to me.” But he would not listen to her.
But she said to him, “No! Sending me away is even a greater evil than the one you have already done to me!” But again he would not listen to her.
Tamar (clinging to him): No, my brother. The shame you do in sending me away is even worse than the shame you brought on by raping me. But again he would not listen to her.
She said to him, “Not so, because this great wrong in sending me away is worse than the other that you did to me!” But he would not listen to her.
And she answered to him, This evil is more which thou doest now against me, and puttest me out, than that, that thou didest before. And he would not hear her; (And she answered to him, This evil which thou now doest against me, by putting me out, is worse, than what thou didest before. But he would not listen to her;)
And she saith to him, `Because of the circumstances this evil is greater than the other that thou hast done with me -- to send me away;' and he hath not been willing to hearken to her,
