But the thing displeased Samuel when they said, “Give us a king to judge us.” And Samuel prayed unto the Lord.
But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, Give us a king to judge us. And Samuel prayed unto Jehovah.
But their demand displeased Samuel when they said, “Give us a king to judge and rule over us.” So Samuel prayed to the Lord.
But it displeased Samuel when they said, Give us a king to govern us. And Samuel prayed to the Lord.
¶ But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, Give us a king to judge us. And Samuel prayed unto the Lord.
It seemed very bad to Samuel when they said, “Give us a king to judge us,” so he prayed to the Lord.
Sh’mu’el was not pleased to hear them say, “Give us a king to judge us”; so he prayed to Adonai.
Samuel was upset to hear the leaders say they wanted a king, so he prayed about it.
And the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, Give us a king to judge us. And Samuel prayed to Jehovah.
And the word was displeasing in the eyes of Samuel, that they should say: Give us a king, to judge us. And Samuel prayed to the Lord.
So the elders asked for a king to lead them. Samuel thought this was a bad idea, so he prayed to the Lord.
But the thing displeased Samuel when they said, “Give us a king to judge us.” And Samuel prayed to the Lord.
But the thing displeased Samuel when they said, “Give us a king to judge us.” And Samuel prayed to the Lord.
When the elders said, “Give us [Appoint; L Now, set for us] a king to ·rule over [judge] us,” ·Samuel was not pleased [L it was evil/wrong in the eyes of Samuel]. So he prayed to the Lord,
But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, Give us a King to judge us: and Samuel prayed unto the Lord.
But Samuel considered it wrong for them to request a king to judge them. So Samuel prayed to the Lord.
Samuel was displeased with their request for a king; so he prayed to the Lord,
When they said, “Give us a king to judge us,” Samuel considered their demand sinful, so he prayed to the Lord.
When the elders said that, Samuel was not pleased. He prayed to the Lord.
Samuel was displeased when they said, “Give us a king to govern us.” So Samuel prayed to the Lord.
But the thing displeased Samuel when they said, Give us a king to judge us. And Samuel prayed unto the LORD.
But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, Give us a king to judge us. And Samuel prayed unto the Lord.

But the matter was displeasing to Samuel when they said, “Give us a king to judge us,” so Samuel prayed to Yahweh.
Samuel was terribly upset and went to the Lord for advice.
When Samuel heard their demand—“Give us a king to rule us!”—he was crushed. How awful! Samuel prayed to God.
But the thing was evil in the eyes of Samuel, because they said, “Give us a king to govern us.” And Samuel prayed to the Lord.
But Samuel considered it wrong for them to request a king to judge them. So Samuel prayed to Yahweh.
Samuel was displeased when they said, “Give us a king to rule us.” But he prayed to the Lord.
But the thing was displeasing in the sight of Samuel when they said, “Give us a king to judge us.” And Samuel prayed to the Lord.
When the elders said that, Samuel was not pleased. He prayed to the Lord,
But this request displeased Samuel, for they said, “Give us a king to lead us.” So Samuel prayed to the Lord.
Samuel wasn’t pleased when they said, “Give us a king to lead us.” So he prayed to the Lord.
But when they said, “Give us a king to lead us,” this displeased Samuel; so he prayed to the Lord.
But when they said, ‘Give us a king to lead us,’ this displeased Samuel; so he prayed to the Lord.
But the thing displeased Samuel when they said, “Give us a king to judge us.” So Samuel prayed to the Lord.
But Samuel was not pleased when they said, “Give us a king to rule over us.” And Samuel prayed to the Lord.
Samuel was displeased with their request and went to the Lord for guidance.
But the thing displeased Samuel when they said, “Give us a king to govern us.” Samuel prayed to the Lord,
But the thing displeased Samuel when they said, ‘Give us a king to govern us.’ Samuel prayed to the Lord,
But the thing displeased Samuel when they said, ‘Give us a king to govern us.’ Samuel prayed to the Lord,
But the thing displeased Samuel when they said, “Give us a king to govern us.” Samuel prayed to the Lord,
But the thing was displeasing in the eyes of Shmuel, when they said, Give us a Melech to judge us. And Shmuel davened unto Hashem.
But the thing displeased Samuel when they said, “Give us a king to govern us.” And Samuel prayed to the Lord.
But the thing displeased Samuel when they said, “Give us a king to govern us.” And Samuel prayed to the Lord.
But the matter was displeasing in Samuel’s eyes when they said, “Give us a king to judge us.” So Samuel prayed to Adonai.
This request—“appoint a king to rule us”—bothered Samuel, so he prayed to the Eternal One
But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, “Give us a king to judge us.” Samuel prayed to Yahweh.
And the word displeased in the eyes of Samuel, for they had said, Give thou to us a king, that he deem us. And Samuel prayed to the Lord. (And this request displeased Samuel, for they had said, Give thou a king to us, so that he can judge us. And Samuel prayed to the Lord.)
And the thing is evil in the eyes of Samuel, when they have said, `Give to us a king to judge us;' and Samuel prayeth unto Jehovah.
