Psalm 119:9-16

BETH

Wherewith shall a [a]young man redress his way? in taking heed thereto according to thy word.

10 With my whole heart have I sought thee: let me not wander from thy commandments.

11 I have [b]hid thy promise in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

12 Blessed art thou, O Lord: teach me thy statutes.

13 With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth.

14 I have had as great [c]delight in the way of thy testimonies, as in all riches.

15 I will meditate in thy precepts, and consider thy ways.

16 I will delight in thy statutes, and I will not forget thy word.

Isaiah 44:1-8

44 1 The Lord promiseth comfort, and that he will assemble his Church of divers nations. 9 The vanity of Idols. 17 The beastliness of idolaters.

Yet now hear, O Jacob my servant, and Israel whom I have chosen.

Thus saith the Lord, that made thee, and formed [a]thee from the womb: he will help thee. Fear not, O Jacob, my servant, and thou righteous [b]whom I have chosen.

For I will pour water upon the [c]thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thy buds.

And they [d]shall grow as among the grass, and as the willows by the rivers of waters.

One shall say, I am the Lord’s: another [e]shall be called by the name of Jacob: and another shall subscribe with his hand unto the Lord, and name himself by the name of Israel.

Thus saith the Lord the King of Israel and his redeemer, the Lord of hosts, [f]I am the first, and I am the last, and without me is there no God.

And who is like me, that shall [g]call and shall declare it, and set [h]it in order before me, since I appointed the [i]ancient people? and what is at hand, and what things are to come? let [j]them show unto them.

Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee of old, and have declared it? [k]you are even my witnesses, whether there be a God beside me, and that there is no God that I know not.

Acts 2:14-24

14 ¶ But Peter standing with the eleven, [a]lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judea, and ye all that inhabit Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken unto my words.

15 For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, since it is but the [b]third hour of the day.

16 But this is that, which was spoken by the [c]Prophet (A)Joel,

17 [d]And it shall be in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon [e]all [f]flesh, and your sons, and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.

18 And on my servants, and on mine handmaids I will pour out of my Spirit in those days, and they shall prophesy.

19 And I will show wonders in heaven above, and tokens in the earth beneath, blood, and fire, and the vapors of smoke.

20 The Sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come.

21 [g]And it shall be, that whosoever shall [h]call on the Name of the Lord, shall be saved.

22 [i]Ye men of Israel, hear these words, JESUS of Nazareth, a man [j]approved of God among you with great works, and wonders, and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:

23 Him, I say, being delivered by the determinate counsel, and [k]foreknowledge of God, after you had taken, with wicked [l]hands you have crucified and [m]slain.

24 [n]Whom God hath raised up, and loosed the [o]sorrows of death, because it was impossible that he should be holden of it.
