Version
Jeremiah 31:31-34

31 (A)Behold, days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when I will make a (B)new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, 32 not like the (C)covenant which I made with their fathers in the day I (D)took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My (E)covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them,” declares the Lord. 33 “But (F)this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” declares the Lord, “(G)I will put My law within them and on their heart I will write it; and (H)I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 34 They will (I)not teach again, each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they will all (J)know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them,” declares the Lord, “for I will (K)forgive their iniquity, and their (L)sin I will remember no more.”

Psalm 51:1-12

A Contrite Sinner’s Prayer for Pardon.

For the choir director. A Psalm of David, when [a]Nathan the prophet came to him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba.

51 (A)Be gracious to me, O God, according to Your lovingkindness;
According to the greatness of (B)Your compassion (C)blot out my transgressions.
(D)Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity
And (E)cleanse me from my sin.
For [b]I (F)know my transgressions,
And my sin is ever before me.
(G)Against You, You only, I have sinned
And done what is (H)evil in Your sight,
So that (I)You [c]are justified [d]when You speak
And [e]blameless when You judge.

Behold, I was (J)brought forth in iniquity,
And in sin my mother conceived me.
Behold, You desire (K)truth in the [f]innermost being,
And in the hidden part You will (L)make me know wisdom.
[g]Purify me (M)with hyssop, and I shall be clean;
[h]Wash me, and I shall be (N)whiter than snow.
[i]Make me to hear (O)joy and gladness,
Let the (P)bones which You have broken rejoice.
(Q)Hide Your face from my sins
And blot out all my iniquities.

10 (R)Create [j]in me a (S)clean heart, O God,
And renew [k]a (T)steadfast spirit within me.
11 (U)Do not cast me away from Your presence
And do not take Your (V)Holy Spirit from me.
12 Restore to me the (W)joy of Your salvation
And sustain me with a (X)willing spirit.

Psalm 119:9-16

Beth.

How can a young man keep his way pure?
By (A)keeping it according to Your word.
10 With (B)all my heart I have sought You;
Do not let me (C)wander from Your commandments.
11 Your word I have (D)treasured in my heart,
That I may not sin against You.
12 Blessed are You, O Lord;
(E)Teach me Your statutes.
13 With my lips I have (F)told of
All the (G)ordinances of Your mouth.
14 I have (H)rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies,
[a]As much as in all riches.
15 I will (I)meditate on Your precepts
And [b]regard (J)Your ways.
16 I shall [c](K)delight in Your statutes;
I shall (L)not forget Your word.

Hebrews 5:5-10

So also Christ (A)did not glorify Himself so as to become a (B)high priest, but He who (C)said to Him,

(D)You are My Son,
Today I have begotten You”;

just as He says also in another passage,

(E)You are a priest forever
According to (F)the order of Melchizedek.”

[a]In the days of His flesh, [b](G)He offered up both prayers and supplications with (H)loud crying and tears to the One (I)able to save Him [c]from death, and He [d]was heard because of His (J)piety. Although He was (K)a Son, He learned (L)obedience from the things which He suffered. And having been made (M)perfect, He became to all those who obey Him the source of eternal salvation, 10 being designated by God as (N)a high priest according to (O)the order of Melchizedek.

John 12:20-33

Greeks Seek Jesus

20 Now there were some (A)Greeks among those who were going up to worship at (B)the feast; 21 these then came to (C)Philip, who was from (D)Bethsaida of Galilee, and began to ask him, saying, “Sir, we wish to see Jesus.” 22 Philip *came and *told (E)Andrew; Andrew and Philip *came and *told Jesus. 23 And Jesus *answered them, saying, (F)The hour has come for the Son of Man to (G)be glorified. 24 Truly, truly, I say to you, (H)unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. 25 (I)He who loves his [a]life loses it, and he who (J)hates his [b]life in this world will keep it to life eternal. 26 If anyone [c]serves Me, he must follow Me; and (K)where I am, there My servant will be also; if anyone [d]serves Me, the Father will (L)honor him.

Jesus Foretells His Death

27 (M)Now My soul has become troubled; and what shall I say, ‘(N)Father, save Me from (O)this hour’? But for this purpose I came to this hour. 28 (P)Father, glorify Your name.” Then a (Q)voice came out of heaven: “I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.” 29 So the crowd of people who stood by and heard it were saying that it had thundered; others were saying, “(R)An angel has spoken to Him.” 30 Jesus answered and said, (S)This voice has not come for My sake, but for your sakes. 31 (T)Now judgment is upon this world; now (U)the ruler of this world will be cast out. 32 And I, if I (V)am lifted up from the earth, will (W)draw all men to Myself.” 33 But He was saying this (X)to indicate the kind of death by which He was to die.
