Jeremiah 31:27-34

27 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will sow the house of Israel, and the house of Judah [a]with the seed of man, and with the seed of beast.

28 And like as I have watched upon them, to pluck up and to root out, and to throw down, and to destroy, and to plague them, so will I watch over them, to build and to plant them, saith the Lord.

29 In those days shall they say no more, The fathers have [b]eaten a sour grape, and the children’s teeth are set on edge.

30 But everyone shall die for his own iniquity, every man that eateth the sour grape, his teeth shall be set on edge.

31 ¶ Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a [c]new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah,

32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers, when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, the which my covenant they [d]brake, although I was [e]an husband unto them, saith the Lord.

33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel, After [f]those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts, and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

34 And they shall [g]teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know me from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord: for I will forgive their iniquity, and will remember their sins no more.

Psalm 119:97-104

MEM

97 Oh how love I thy law! it is my meditation [a]continually.

98 By thy commandments thou hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me.

99 I have had more [b]understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation.

100 I understood more than the ancient, because I kept thy precepts.

101 I have refrained my feet from every evil way, that I might keep thy word.

102 I have not declined from thy judgments: for [c]thou didst teach me.

103 How sweet are thy promises unto my mouth! yea, more than honey unto my mouth.

104 By thy precepts I have gotten understanding: therefore I hate all the ways of falsehood.

2 Timothy 3:14-4:5

14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned, and which are committed unto thee, knowing of whom thou hast learned them:

15 And that thou hast known the holy Scriptures of a child, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation, through the faith which is in Christ Jesus.

16 (A)[a]For the whole Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable to teach, to convince, to correct, and to instruct in righteousness,

17 That the [b]man of God may be absolute, being made perfect unto all good works.

1 He chargeth him to preach the Gospel with all diligence, 3 in that so miserable a time: 6 that his death is hard at hand, 8 yet so, that as a conqueror he maketh haste to a glorious triumph. 10 He showeth the cause why he sendeth for Timothy, 11 even by reason of his present state.

I [c]Charge thee therefore before God, and before the Lord Jesus Christ, which shall judge the quick and dead at that his appearing, and in his kingdom,

Preach the word: be instant, in season, and out of season: improve, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

[d]For the time will come when they will not suffer wholesome doctrine: but having their ears itching, shall after their own lusts get them an heap of teachers,

And shall turn their ears from the truth, and shall be given unto [e]fables.

[f]But watch thou in all things: suffer adversity: do the work of an Evangelist: [g]cause thy ministry to be thoroughly liked of.

Luke 18:1-8

18 2 The parable of the unrighteous Judge and the widow. 10 Of the Pharisee and the Publican. 15 Children are of the kingdom of heaven. 22 To sell all and give to the poor. 28 The Apostles forsake all. 31 Christ foretelleth his death. 35 The blind man receiveth sight.

And [a]he spake also a parable unto them, to this end, that they (A)ought always to pray, and not to [b]wax faint,

[c]Saying, there was a judge in a certain city, which feared not God, neither reverenced man.

And there was a widow in that city, which came unto him, saying, Do me justice against mine adversary.

And he would not of a long time: but afterward he said with himself, Though I fear not God, nor reverence man,

Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will do her right, lest at the last she come and [d]make me weary.

And the Lord said, Hear what the unrighteous judge saith.

Now shall not God avenge his elect, which cry day and night unto him, yea, though [e]he suffer long for them?

I tell you he will avenge them quickly: but when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?
