3 And the Word of the LORD came to Jonah the second time, saying,

² “Arise. Go to Nineveh, that great city; and preach to it the preaching which I command you.”

³ So Jonah arose and went to Nineveh, according to the Word of the LORD. Now, Nineveh was a large city of three days’ journey.

⁴ And Jonah began to enter into the city a day’s journey, and he cried and said, “Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown!”

⁵ So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them.

¹⁰ And God saw their works — that they turned from their evil ways — and God turned from of the evil that He had said that He would do to them; and He did it not.

⁵ My soul, keep silent to God only (for my hope is from Him).

⁶ He alone is my strength and my salvation, my defense. I shall not be moved.

⁷ In God is my salvation and my glory, the rock of my strength. In God is my trust.

⁸ Trust in Him always, you people. Pour out your hearts before Him, God our Hope. Selah.

⁹ Surely, men of low degree are a vapor, and the chief men liars. To lay them upon a scale, they are altogether lighter than a breath.

¹⁰ Do not trust in oppression or in robbery. Do not be vain. If riches increase, do not set your heart thereon.

¹¹ God has spoken once, twice I have heard it, that power belongs to God;

¹² and to You, O LORD, mercy. For You reward everyone according to his work. A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah

²⁹ And this I say, brothers, because the time is short: that from now on those who have wives should be as though they had none,

³⁰ and those who weep as though they did not weep, and those who rejoice as though they did not rejoice, and those who buy as though they did not possess,

³¹ and those who use this world as though they do not abuse it. For the appearance of this world is passing away.

¹⁴ Now after John was committed to prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom of God,

¹⁵ and saying, “The time is fulfilled! And the Kingdom of God is at hand! Repent and believe the Gospel!”

¹⁶ And as He walked by the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea (for they were fishers).

¹⁷ Then Jesus said to them, “Follow Me. And I will make you fishers of men.”

¹⁸ And immediately they left their nets and followed Him.

¹⁹ And when He had gone a little further, He saw James, the son of Zebedee, and John, his brother, in the ship, mending their nets.

²⁰ And He called them. And they left their father Zebedee in the ship with his hired servants and followed Him.
