Revised Common Lectionary (Semicontinuous)
1 In the beginning, God created the heaven and the Earth.
2 And the Earth was without form and void. And darkness was upon the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the waters.
3 Then God said, “Let there be light.” And there was light.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good. And God separated the light from the darkness.
5 And God called the light, “day.” And the darkness He called, “night.” So, the evening and the morning were the first day.
29 Give to the LORD, you sons of the Mighty. Give to the LORD glory and strength.
2 Give to the LORD glory due His Name. Worship the LORD in the glorious Sanctuary.
3 The voice of the LORD is upon the waters. The God of Glory makes it thunder. The LORD is upon the great waters.
4 The voice of the LORD is mighty. The voice of the LORD is glorious.
5 The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars. Indeed, the LORD breaks the cedars of Lebanon.
6 He also makes them leap like a calf, Lebanon and Shirion like a young unicorn.
7 The voice of the LORD divides the flames of fire.
8 The voice of the LORD makes the wilderness tremble. The LORD makes the wilderness of Kadesh tremble.
9 The voice of the LORD makes the hinds calve and discovers the forests. In His Temple, every man speaks of His Glory.
10 The LORD sits upon the floods; and the LORD remains King forever.
11 The LORD shall give strength to His people. The LORD shall bless His people with peace. A Psalm or song of the dedication of the House of David.
19 And it so happened (while Apollos was at Corinth) that Paul, when he passed through the upper coasts, came to Ephesus, and found some disciples,
2 and said to them, “Have you received the Holy Ghost since you believed?” And they said to him, “We have not even heard whether there is a Holy Ghost.”
3 And he said to them, “Into what were you baptized then?” And they said, “Into John’s baptism.”
4 Then Paul said, “Truly, John baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe in Him Who should come after him; that is, in Christ Jesus.”
5 And when they heard it, they were baptized in the Name of the Lord Jesus.
6 So Paul laid his hands upon them, and the Holy Ghost came on them, and they spoke the tongues, and prophesied.
7 And there were, in all, about twelve men.
4 John baptized in the wilderness, and preached the baptism of repentance, for remission of sins.
5 And all the country of Judea, and they of Jerusalem, went out to him and were all baptized by him in the river Jordan, confessing their sins.
6 Now John was clothed with camel’s hair, and with a belt of a skin about his loins. And he ate locusts and wild honey,
7 and preached, saying, “A stronger than I comes after me, Whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and untie.
8 “Indeed, I have baptized you with water. But He will baptize you with the Holy Ghost.”
9 And it happened that in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth (a city of Galilee) and was baptized by John in Jordan.
10 And as soon as He had come out of the water, John saw the heavens torn apart, and the Holy Ghost descending upon Him like a dove.
11 Then there was a voice from Heaven, saying, “You are My beloved Son, in Whom I am well pleased.”
