へブル 12:14-16
14 あなた達の人生の目標は、他の人と平和に暮らすこと。 しかし、何よりもあなた達は聖なる生活を送るべきだ。 誰でも人生が聖くなければ、王である神を見ることはできない。 15 誰一人として神の恵みからこぼれ落ちないように、気を付けなさい！誰一人として自分の信仰を捨て、苦い麦のようにならないように気を付けなさい！そのような人はグループ全体を腐らせてしまうから。 16 目を光らせなさい！性的な過ちにふける人、またエサウの様に神を敬わない人が出てこないよう、気を付けなさい！長男であったエサウは、一食分の食事のために相続財産すべてを売り、祝福を手放してしまった。
