Revised Common Lectionary (Complementary)
AIN
121 I have executed judgment and justice, leave me not to my oppressors.
122 Answer for Your servant in that which is good, and do not let the proud oppress me.
123 My eyes have failed, longing for Your salvation and for Your just Promise.
124 Deal with Your servant according to Your mercy and teach me Your Statutes.
125 I am Your servant. Grant me, therefore, understanding, that I may know Your Testimonies.
126 It is time for You, LORD, to work. For they have destroyed Your Law.
127 Therefore I love Your Commandments above gold—yea, above most fine gold.
128 Therefore I esteem all Your Precepts most just and hate all false ways.
29 And God gave Solomon very much wisdom and understanding and a large heart, as the sand that is on the seashore.
30 And Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the East, and all the wisdom of Egypt.
31 For he was wiser than any man: Ethan the Ezrahite, Heman, Chalcol, or Darda, the sons of Mahol. And he was famous throughout all nations all around.
32 And Solomon spoke three thousand proverbs and a thousand five songs.
33 And he spoke of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon to the hyssop that springs out of the wall. He also spoke of beasts, and of birds, and of creeping things, and of fish.
34 And people came from all nations to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the Earth who had heard of his wisdom.
10 Finally, my brothers, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might.
11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the deceit of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against the kings, against the authorities, and against the rulers of the darkness of this world; against the spiritual forces of iniquity which are in the high place.
13 For this reason take up the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to withstand on the evil day. And having finished all things, stand fast.
14 Stand therefore, having wrapped your waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
15 and your feet shod with the preparation of the Gospel of peace.
16 Above all, take the shield of Faith, with which you may quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.
18 And pray always, with all manner of prayer and supplication, in the Spirit. And watch for this very thing - with all perseverance and supplication - for all Saints
