Genesis 1:1-2:4

In the beginning, God created the heaven and the Earth.

And the Earth was without form and void. And darkness was upon the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the waters.

Then God said, “Let there be light.” And there was light.

And God saw the light, that it was good. And God separated the light from the darkness.

And God called the light, “day.” And the darkness He called, “night.” So, the evening and the morning were the first day.

Again, God said, “Let there be an expanse in the midst of the waters. And let it separate the waters from the waters.”

Then God made the expanse; and separated the waters which were under the expanse from the waters which were above the expanse. And it was so.

And God called the expanse, “sky.” So, the evening and the morning were the second day.

God said again, “Let the waters under the sky be gathered into one place. And let the dry land appear.” And it was so.

10 And God called the dry land, “earth.” And He called the gathering together of the waters, “seas.” And God saw that it was good.

11 Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth vegetation: seed-bearing plants, the fruit-bearing tree - which bears fruit according to its kind and has its seed in itself - upon the Earth.” And it was so.

12 And the earth brought forth vegetation that bears seed according to its kind; also, the fruit-bearing tree that has its seed in itself according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

13 So the evening and the morning were the third day.

14 And God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky, to separate the day from the night. And let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years.

15 “And let them be for lights in the expanse of the sky, to give light upon the Earth.” And it was so.

16 God then made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He also made the stars.

17 And God set them in the expanse of the sky; to shine upon the Earth

18 and to rule in the day and in the night; and to separate the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good.

19 So the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

20 Afterward, God said, “Let the waters bring forth in abundance every creeping thing that has life. And let the birds fly upon the Earth in the open expanse of the sky.”

21 Then God created the great whales; and everything living and moving which the waters brought forth in abundance according to their kind; and every bird, according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

22 Then God blessed them, saying, “Bring forth fruit and multiply. And fill the waters in the seas. And let the birds multiply on the Earth.”

23 So the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

24 Moreover, God said, “Let the earth bring forth the living thing, according to its kind: cattle, and that which creeps, and the wild animals, according to their kind.” And it was so.

25 And God made the wild animal of the Earth, according to its kind; cattle, according to its kind; and every creeping thing of the Earth, according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

26 Furthermore, God said, “Let us make man, in our image, according to our likeness. And let them rule over the fish of the sea, and over the birds, and over the wild animals, and over all the Earth, and over everything that creeps and moves on the Earth.

27 Thus, God created the man in His image. In the image of God, He created him. He created them male and female.

28 And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Bring forth fruit, and multiply. And fill the Earth and subdue it. And rule over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the sky, and over every wild animal that moves upon the Earth.”

29 And God said, “Behold, I have given to you every plant-bearing seed which is upon all the Earth. And every tree (wherein is the fruit of a tree-bearing seed) shall be food for you.

30 Likewise - to every wild animal of the Earth, and to every bird of the sky, and to everything that moves upon the Earth which has life in itself - every green plant shall be for food.” And it was so.

31 And God saw all that He had made. And lo, it was very good. So, the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

Thus the heavens and the Earth were finished, and all the host of them.

For on the seventh day, God ended His work which He had made. And the seventh day, He rested from all His work which He had made.

So God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it; because on it, He had rested from all His work which God created and made.

These are the generations of the heavens and of the Earth - when they were created, on the day that the LORD God made the Earth and the heavens -

Psalm 8

O LORD, our Lord, how excellent is Your Name in all the world; Who has set Your Glory above the heavens!

Out of the mouth of children and infants You have ordained strength, because of Your enemies; that You might cease the enemy and the avenger.

When I behold Your heavens, the works of Your fingers; the moon and the stars which You have ordained,

what is man that You are mindful of him; and the son of man that You seek him?

For You have made him a little lower than God and crowned him with glory and worship.

You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands. You have put all things under his feet,

all sheep and oxen; indeed, and the beasts of the field,

the birds of the air and the fish of the sea; that which passes through the paths of the seas.

O LORD, our Lord, how excellent is Your Name in all the world! To him who excels upon Muth Labben: A Psalm of David.

2 Corinthians 13:11-13

11 Finally brothers, farewell. Be perfect. Be of good comfort. Be of one mind. Live in peace. And the God of love and peace shall be with you.

12 Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the Saints salute you.

13 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ - and the love of God - and the communion of the Holy Ghost be with you all. Amen.

(the second Epistle to the Corinthians written from Philippi - a city in Macedonia - and sent by Titus and Lucas)

Matthew 28:16-20

16 Then the eleven disciples went into Galilee, and to a mountain where Jesus had directed them.

17 And when they saw Him, they worshipped Him. But some doubted.

18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All power is given to Me, in Heaven and on Earth.

19 “Go, therefore, and disciple all nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost,

20 “teaching them to observe all things, whatever I have Commanded you. And lo, I am with you always, until the end of the age. Amen.”
