Psalm 105:1-11

105 Praise the LORD! Call upon His Name! Declare His works among the people!

Sing to Him! Sing praise to Him! Talk of all His wondrous works!

Rejoice in His Holy Name! Let the heart of those who seek the LORD, rejoice!

Seek the LORD and His strength. Seek His face continually.

Remember His marvelous works that He has done, His wonders and the judgments of His mouth

you seed of Abraham His servant, you children of Jacob who are His Elect.

He is the LORD our God. His judgments are through all the Earth.

He has always remembered His Covenant promise that He made to a thousand generations

(which he made with Abraham) and his oath to Isaac.

10 And He has since confirmed it to Jacob for a Law, and to Israel for an everlasting Covenant,

11 saying, “To You I will give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance,”

Psalm 105:37-45

37 He also brought them forth with silver and gold, and there was no one feeble among their tribes.

38 Egypt was glad at their departing, for the fear of them had fallen upon them.

39 He spread a cloud to be a covering, and fire to give light in the night.

40 They asked, and He brought quails; and He filled them with the bread of Heaven.

41 He opened the rock and the water flowed out and ran like a river in the dry places.

42 For He remembered His Holy Promise to Abraham, His servant.

43 And He brought forth His people with joy and his chosen with gladness,

44 and gave them the lands of the heathen. And they took the labors of the people in possession,

45 so that they might keep His statutes and observe His Laws. Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD

1 Samuel 3:1-9

Now the child, Samuel, ministered to the LORD before Eli. And the Word of the LORD was precious in those days; for there was no manifest vision.

And at that time, as Eli lay in his place, his eyes began to grow dim, so that he could not see.

And before the Light of God went out, Samuel slept in the Temple of the LORD, where the Ark of God was.

Then, the LORD called Samuel. And he said, “Here I am.”

And he ran to Eli, and said, “Here I am! For you called me!” But he said, “I did not call you. Go back. Sleep.” And he went and slept.

And the LORD called Samuel once again. And Samuel arose and went to Eli, and said, “I am here! For you called me!” And he answered, “I did not call you, my son. Go back. Sleep.”

Thus did Samuel, before he knew the LORD and before the Word of the LORD was revealed to him.

And the LORD called Samuel again, a third time. And he arose and went to Eli, and said, “I am here! For you have called me.” Then Eli perceived that the LORD had called the child.

Therefore Eli said to Samuel, “Go. Sleep. And if He calls you, then say, “Speak LORD, for Your servant hears.” So, Samuel went and slept in his place.

2 Thessalonians 2:13-3:5

13 But we ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers (beloved of the Lord) because God has chosen you for salvation from the beginning, through sanctification of the Spirit and the faith of truth;

14 to which He called you by our Gospel to obtain the Glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

15 Therefore, brothers, stand fast and keep the instructions which you have been taught, either by word or by our letter.

16 Now may the same Jesus Christ our Lord, and our God, even the Father, Who has loved us and has given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,

17 comfort your hearts and establish you in every word and good work.

Furthermore, brothers, pray for us; so that the Word of the Lord may have free passage and be glorified (just as with you)

and that we may be delivered from unreasonable and evil men. For all do not have faith.

But the Lord, Who will establish you and keep you from evil, is faithful.

And we are persuaded by you through the Lord that you both do and will do the things of which we warn you.

And the Lord guide your hearts to the love of God and the awaiting of Christ.
