32 Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.

² Blessed is the man unto whom the Lord imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.

³ When I kept silent, my bones waxed old through my groaning all the day long.

⁴ For day and night Thy hand was heavy upon me; the sap of my soul was turned into the drought of summer. Selah

⁵ I acknowledged my sin unto Thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, “I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord,” and Thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah

⁶ For this shall every one that is godly pray unto Thee in a time when Thou mayest be found; surely the floods of great waters shall not come nigh unto him.

⁷ Thou art my hiding place; Thou shalt preserve me from trouble; Thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah

⁸ “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go; I will guide thee with Mine eye.

⁹ Be ye not as the horse or as the mule which have no understanding, whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they not come near unto thee.”

¹⁰ Many shall be the sorrows of the wicked; but he that trusteth in the Lord, mercy shall compass him about.

¹¹ Be glad in the Lord and rejoice, ye righteous; and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart!

³⁰ “Therefore behold, I am against the prophets,” saith the Lord, “that steal My words every one from his neighbor.

³¹ Behold, I am against the prophets,” saith the Lord, “that use their tongues and say, ‘He saith.’

³² Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams,” saith the Lord, “and do tell them, and cause My people to err by their lies and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them. Therefore they shall not profit this people at all,” saith the Lord.

³³ “And when this people or the prophet or a priest shall ask thee, saying, ‘What is the burden of the Lord?’ thou shalt then say unto them, ‘What burden? I will even forsake you, saith the Lord.’

³⁴ And as for the prophet and the priest and the people who shall say, ‘The burden of the Lord,’ I will even punish that man and his house.

³⁵ Thus shall ye say every one to his neighbor and every one to his brother, ‘What hath the Lord answered?’ and, ‘What hath the Lord spoken?’

³⁶ And the burden of the Lord shall ye mention no more, for every man’s word shall be his burden; for ye have perverted the words of the living God, of the Lord of hosts our God.

³⁷ Thus shalt thou say to the prophet, ‘What hath the Lord answered thee?’ and, ‘What hath the Lord spoken?’

³⁸ But since ye say, ‘The burden of the Lord,’ therefore thus saith the Lord: Because ye say this word, ‘The burden of the Lord,’ and I have sent unto you, saying, ‘Ye shall not say: The burden of the Lord,’

³⁹ therefore behold, I, even I, will utterly forget you, and I will forsake you and the city that I gave you and your fathers, and cast you out of My presence.

⁴⁰ And I will bring an everlasting reproach upon you, and a perpetual shame which shall not be forgotten.”

4 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but test the spirits whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

² Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh, is of God.

³ And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh, is not of God; and such is the spirit of Antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come, and even now already it is in the world.

⁴ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.

⁵ They are of the world; therefore they speak of the world, and the world heareth them.

⁶ We are of God; he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby we know the Spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
