Version
Acts 2:1-21

And when the Day of Pentecost had come, they were all of one mind, in one place.

And suddenly there came a sound from Heaven as that of a rushing, mighty wind. And it filled all the house where they sat.

And tongues of fire appeared to them. And they were distributed and sat upon each of them.

And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit declared.

And there were Jews dwelling at Jerusalem, men of every nation under heaven, who feared God.

Now when this was heard, the multitude came together and were astonished, because everyone heard them speak his own language.

And they all wondered, and marveled, saying among themselves, “Behold, are not all these who speak from Galilee?

“How then do we each hear our own language, with which we were born?

“Parthians and Medes and Elamites; and the inhabitants of Mesopotamia and of Judea and of Cappadocia of Pontus, and Asia,

10 “and of Phrygia and Pamphylia; of Egypt and of the parts of Libya which is beside Cyrene; and strangers of Rome and Jews and Proselytes,

11 “Cretans and Arabians. We heard them speak the wonderful works of God in our own tongues!”

12 Then they were all amazed, and doubted, saying to one another, “What could this mean?”

13 And others mocked them, and said, “They are full of new wine!”

14 But Peter, standing with the eleven, lifted up his voice and said to them, “You men of Judea! All you who inhabit Jerusalem! Be it known to you and hear my words!

15 “For these men are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day.

16 “But this is that which was spoken by the Prophet Joel,

17 ‘And it shall be in the last days, says God, “I will pour out My Spirit upon all flesh. And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy. And your young men shall see visions. And your old men shall dream dreams.

18 “And on My servants, and on My handmaids, I will pour out My Spirit in those days. And they shall prophesy.

19 “And I will show wonders in Heaven above. And tokens in the Earth beneath - blood, and fire, and the vapors of smoke.

20 “The Sun shall be turned to darkness, and the Moon to blood, before that great and notable Day of the Lord comes.

21 “And it shall be, that whoever shall call on the Name of the Lord, shall be saved.”’

Genesis 11:1-9

11 Then, the whole Earth was of one language and one speech.

And as they went from the east, they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they stayed there.

And they said to one another, “Come, let us make brick and burn it in the fire!” So, they had brick for stone; and they had slime instead of mortar.

Also, they said, “Go to! Let us build a city and a tower. Whose top may reach to the sky, so that we may get a name, lest we be scattered upon the whole Earth.”

But the LORD came down to see the city and tower which the sons of men built.

And the LORD said, “Behold, the people are one; and they all have one language. And this they begin to do; nor can they now be stopped from whatever they have imagined to do.

“Come on. Let us go down there and confound their language, so that no one perceives another’s speech.”

So the LORD scattered them from there upon all the Earth; and they stopped building the city.

Therefore, the name of it was called Babel, because there the LORD confounded the language of all the Earth. Then, from there the LORD scattered them upon all the Earth.

Psalm 104:24-34

24 O LORD, how manifold are Your works! In wisdom, You have made them all. The Earth is full of Your riches!

25 So great and wide is the sea; in which are innumerable creeping things, both small beasts and great.

26 Thereupon go the ships, and therein plays that Leviathan, whom You have made.

27 All these wait upon You, so that You may give them food in due season.

28 You give it to them, and they gather it. You open Your hand, and they are filled with good things.

29 If You hide Your face, they are troubled. If You take away their breath, they die and return to their dust.

30 You send forth Your spirit, and they are created; You renew the face of the Earth.

31 Glory be to the LORD forever. Let the LORD rejoice in His works!

32 He looks on the Earth and it trembles. He touches the mountains and they smoke.

33 I will sing to the LORD all my life. I will praise my God while I live.

34 Let my words be acceptable to Him. I will rejoice in the LORD.

Psalm 104:35

35 Let the sinners be consumed out of the Earth, and the wicked, until there are no more. Bless the LORD, O my soul! Praise the LORD!

Romans 8:14-17

14 For, as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

15 For you have not received the spirit of bondage, to fear again. But you have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, “Abba, Father!”

16 The same Spirit bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.

17 If we are children, we are also heirs (even the heirs of God, and co-heirs with Christ), if indeed we suffer with Him. So that we also may be glorified with Him.

John 14:8-17

Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it will satisfy us.”

Jesus said to him, “I have been with you such a long time, and have you not known Me, Philip? Whoever has seen Me, has seen the Father. How then can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?”

10 “Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words that I speak to you, I speak not of Myself. But the Father who dwells in Me, He does the works.

11 “Believe Me, that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me. At the least, believe Me for the very works’ sake.

12 “Truly, truly I say to you, whoever believes in Me, the works that I do, he shall do also, and greater than these shall he do. For I go to My Father.

13 “And whatever you ask in My Name, that will I do; so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

14 “If you shall ask anything in My Name, I will do it.

15 “If you love Me, keep My Commandments.

16 “And I will ask the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may be with you forever;

17 the Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive because it does not see Him or know Him. But you know Him. For He dwells with you and shall be in you.

John 14:25-27

25 “These things I have spoken to you, being present with you.

26 “But the Comforter (Who is the Holy Ghost, Whom the Father will send in My Name) He shall teach you all things and bring all things to your remembrance which I have told you.

27 “Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor fear.
