Psalm 25:1-9

25 1 The Prophet touched with the consideration of his sins, and also grieved with the cruel malice of his enemies,  6 Prayeth to God most fervently to have his sins forgiven. 7 Especially such as he had committed in his youth.  He beginneth every verse according to the Hebrew letters, two or three except.

A Psalm of David.

Unto thee, [a]O Lord, lift I up my soul.

My God, I [b]trust in thee; let me not be confounded: let not mine enemies rejoice over me.

(A)So all that hope in thee, shall not be ashamed; but let them be confounded, that transgress without cause.

[c]Show me thy ways, O Lord, and teach me thy paths.

Lead me forth in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation: in thee do I trust [d]all the day.

Remember, O Lord, thy tender mercies, and thy lovingkindness: for they have been forever.

Remember not the [e]sins of my youth, nor my rebellions, but according to thy kindness remember thou me, even for thy goodness sake, O Lord.

Gracious and righteous is the Lord: therefore will he [f]teach sinners in the way.

Them that be meek, will he [g]guide in judgment, and teach the humble his way.

Ezekiel 12:17-28

17 ¶ Moreover, the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

18 Son of man, eat thy bread with trembling, and drink thy water with trouble, and with carefulness,

19 And say unto the people of the land, Thus saith the Lord God of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and of the land of Israel, They shall eat their bread with carefulness, and drink their water with desolation: for the land shall be desolate from her abundance, because of the cruelty of them that dwell therein.

20 And the cities that are inhabited, shall be left void, and the land shall be desolate, and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

21 ¶ And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

22 Son of man, what is that proverb that you have in the land of Israel, saying, The days [a]are prolonged, and all visions [b]fail?

23 Tell them therefore, Thus saith the Lord God, I will make this proverb to cease, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel: but say unto them, The days are at hand, and the effect of every vision.

24 For no vision shall be anymore in vain, neither shall there be any flattering divination within the house of Israel.

25 For I am the Lord: I will speak, and that thing that I shall speak, shall come to pass: it shall be no more prolonged: for in your days, O rebellious house, will I say the thing, and will perform it, saith the Lord God.

26 Again the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

27 Son of man, behold, they of the house of Israel say, The vision that he seeth, is for [c]many days to come, and he prophesieth of the times that are far off.

28 Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God, All my words shall no longer be delayed, but that thing which I have spoken, shall be done, saith the Lord God.

James 4:11-16

11 [a]Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, or he that condemneth his brother, speaketh evil of the Law, and condemneth the Law: and if thou condemnest the Law, thou art not an observer of the Law, but a judge.

12 There is one Lawgiver, which is able to save, and to destroy, (A)Who art thou that judgest another man?

13 [b]Go to now, ye that say, Today or tomorrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain,

14 (And yet ye cannot tell what shall be tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appeareth for a little time, and afterward vanisheth away.)

15 For that ye ought to say, (B)If the Lord will, and if we live, we will do this or that.

16 But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil.
