Psalm 24

The King of Glory

Of David. A Psalm.

24 The (A)earth is Yahweh’s, as well as its fullness,
The (B)world, and those who dwell in it.
For He has (C)founded it upon the seas
And established it upon the rivers.
Who may (D)ascend into the (E)mountain of Yahweh?
And who may rise in His holy (F)place?
He who has (G)innocent hands and a (H)pure heart,
Who has not (I)lifted up his soul [a]to worthlessness
And has not (J)sworn deceitfully.
He shall lift up a (K)blessing from Yahweh
And [b](L)righteousness from the God of his salvation.
[c]This is the generation of those who (M)seek Him,
Who seek Your face—pay heed O Jacob. [d]Selah.

(N)Lift up your heads, O gates,
And be lifted up, O [e]ancient doors,
That the King of (O)glory may come in!
Who is this King of glory?
Yahweh (P)strong and mighty,
Yahweh (Q)mighty in battle.
Lift up your heads, O gates,
And lift yourselves up, O [f]ancient doors,
That the King of (R)glory may come in!
10 Who is He, this King of glory?
Yahweh of (S)hosts,
He is the King of glory. Selah.

Psalm 29

The Voice of Yahweh

A Psalm of David.

29 (A)Ascribe to Yahweh, O [a]sons of the mighty,
Ascribe to Yahweh glory and strength.
Ascribe to Yahweh the glory of His name;
Worship Yahweh (B)in the splendor of holiness.

The (C)voice of Yahweh is upon the waters;
The God of glory (D)thunders,
Yahweh is over [b](E)many waters.
The voice of Yahweh is (F)powerful,
The voice of Yahweh is full of splendor.
The voice of Yahweh breaks the cedars;
Indeed, Yahweh breaks in pieces (G)the cedars of Lebanon.
He makes Lebanon (H)skip like a calf,
And (I)Sirion like a young wild ox.
The voice of Yahweh hews out [c]flames of fire.
The voice of Yahweh causes the wilderness to tremble;
Yahweh causes the wilderness of (J)Kadesh to tremble.
The voice of Yahweh makes (K)the deer to calve
And strips the forests bare;
And (L)in His temple everything says, “Glory!”

10 Yahweh sat enthroned over the (M)flood;
Indeed, Yahweh sits as (N)King forever.
11 [d]Yahweh will give (O)strength to His people;
[e]Yahweh will bless His people with (P)peace.

Psalm 103

Bless Yahweh, O My Soul

Of David.

103 (A)Bless Yahweh, O my soul,
And all that is within me, bless His (B)holy name.
Bless Yahweh, O my soul,
And (C)forget none of His benefits;
Who (D)pardons all your iniquities,
Who (E)heals all your diseases;
Who (F)redeems your life from the pit,
Who (G)crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion;
Who (H)satisfies your [a]years with good things,
So that your youth is (I)renewed like the eagle.

Yahweh (J)performs righteous deeds
And judgments for all who are (K)oppressed.
He (L)made known His ways to Moses,
His (M)acts to the sons of Israel.
Yahweh is (N)compassionate and gracious,
(O)Slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness.
He (P)will not always contend with us,
And He will not (Q)keep His anger forever.
10 He has (R)not dealt with us according to our sins,
And He has not rewarded us according to our iniquities.
11 For as high (S)as the heavens are above the earth,
So great is His lovingkindness toward those who [b]fear Him.
12 As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He (T)removed our transgressions from us.
13 (U)As a father has compassion on his children,
So Yahweh has compassion on those who [c]fear Him.
14 For (V)He Himself knows [d]our form;
He (W)remembers that we are but (X)dust.

15 As for man, his days are (Y)like grass;
As a (Z)flower of the field, so he flowers.
16 When the (AA)wind has passed over it, it is no more,
And its (AB)place acknowledges it no longer.
17 But the (AC)lovingkindness of Yahweh is from everlasting to everlasting on those who [e]fear Him,
And His [f]righteousness (AD)to children’s children,
18 To (AE)those who keep His covenant
And remember His precepts to do them.

19 Yahweh has established His (AF)throne in the heavens,
And His (AG)kingdom rules over [g]all.
20 Bless Yahweh, you (AH)His angels,
(AI)Mighty in strength, who (AJ)perform His word,
(AK)Obeying the voice of His word!
21 Bless Yahweh, all you (AL)His hosts,
You (AM)who serve Him, doing His will.
22 Bless Yahweh, (AN)all you works of His,
In all places of His rule;
Bless Yahweh, O my soul!

Zechariah 9:9-12

The Coming King of Zion

(A)Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion!
Make a loud shout, O daughter of Jerusalem!
Behold, your (B)king is coming to you;
He is [a](C)righteous and (D)endowed with salvation,
[b](E)Lowly and mounted on a donkey,
Even on a [c](F)colt, the [d]foal of a pack animal.
10 I will (G)cut off the chariot from Ephraim
And the (H)horse from Jerusalem;
And the (I)bow of war will be cut off.
And He will speak (J)peace to the nations;
And His (K)reign will be from sea to sea
And from the [e]River to the ends of the earth.

11 As for you also, because of the (L)blood of your covenant,
I have set your (M)prisoners free from the [f]waterless pit.
12 Return to the [g](N)stronghold, O prisoners [h]who have the (O)hope;
This very day I am declaring that I will return (P)double to you.

Zechariah 12:9-11

And it will be in that day, that I will (A)seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

Mourning for the Pierced One

10 “And I will (B)pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem [a]the Spirit of grace and of supplication, so that they will look on Me whom they have (C)pierced; and they will mourn for Him, as one (D)mourns for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him like the bitter weeping over a firstborn. 11 In that day there will be great (E)mourning in Jerusalem, like the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the [b]plain of [c]Megiddo.

Zechariah 13:1

Jerusalem Refined and Tested

13 “In that day a (A)fountain will be opened for the house of David and for the inhabitants of Jerusalem, for (B)sin and for (C)impurity.

Zechariah 13:7-9

“Awake, O (A)sword, against My (B)Shepherd
And against the man, My (C)Associate,”
Declares Yahweh of hosts.
(D)Strike the Shepherd that the sheep may be scattered;
And I will (E)turn My hand [a]against the little ones.
And it will be in all the land,”
Declares Yahweh,
“That (F)two parts in it will be cut off and breathe their last;
But the third will be left in it.
And I will bring the third part through the (G)fire
And refine them as silver is refined
And test them as gold is tested.
[b]They will (H)call on My name,
And I will (I)answer them;
I will say, ‘They are (J)My people,’
And they will say, ‘Yahweh is my God.’”

1 Timothy 6:12-16

12 (A)Fight the good fight of (B)faith. (C)Take hold of the eternal life (D)to which you were called, and you made the good (E)confession in the presence of (F)many witnesses. 13 (G)I charge you in the presence of God, who [a]gives life to all things, and of (H)Christ Jesus, who testified the (I)good confession (J)before Pontius Pilate, 14 that you keep the commandment without stain or reproach until the (K)appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 which He will [b]bring about at (L)the proper time—He who is (M)the blessed and (N)only Sovereign, (O)the King of [c]kings and (P)Lord of [d]lords, 16 (Q)who alone has immortality and (R)dwells in unapproachable light, (S)whom no man has seen or can see. (T)To Him be honor and eternal might! Amen.

Matthew 21:12-17

Cleansing the Temple

12 (A)And Jesus entered the temple and drove out all those who were buying and selling in the temple, and overturned the tables of the (B)money changers and the seats of those who were selling (C)doves. 13 And He *said to them, “It is written, ‘(D)My house shall be called a house of prayer’; but you are making it a (E)robbers[a]den.”

14 And the blind and the lame came to Him in the temple, and (F)He healed them. 15 But when the chief priests and the scribes saw the marvelous things which He had done, and the children who were shouting in the temple, saying, “Hosanna to the (G)Son of David,” they became indignant 16 and said to Him, “Do You hear what these children are saying?” And Jesus *said to them, “Yes; have you never read, ‘(H)Out of the mouth of infants and nursing babies You have prepared praise for Yourself’?” 17 And He left them and went out of the city to (I)Bethany, and spent the night there.
