Psalm 25

25 1 The Prophet touched with the consideration of his sins, and also grieved with the cruel malice of his enemies,  6 Prayeth to God most fervently to have his sins forgiven. 7 Especially such as he had committed in his youth.  He beginneth every verse according to the Hebrew letters, two or three except.

A Psalm of David.

Unto thee, [a]O Lord, lift I up my soul.

My God, I [b]trust in thee; let me not be confounded: let not mine enemies rejoice over me.

(A)So all that hope in thee, shall not be ashamed; but let them be confounded, that transgress without cause.

[c]Show me thy ways, O Lord, and teach me thy paths.

Lead me forth in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation: in thee do I trust [d]all the day.

Remember, O Lord, thy tender mercies, and thy lovingkindness: for they have been forever.

Remember not the [e]sins of my youth, nor my rebellions, but according to thy kindness remember thou me, even for thy goodness sake, O Lord.

Gracious and righteous is the Lord: therefore will he [f]teach sinners in the way.

Them that be meek, will he [g]guide in judgment, and teach the humble his way.

10 All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies:

11 For thy [h]Name’s sake, O Lord, be merciful unto mine iniquity, for it is great.

12 What [i]man is he that feareth the Lord? him will he teach the way that he shall [j]choose.

13 His soul shall dwell at [k]ease, and his seed shall inherit the land.

14 The [l]secret of the Lord is revealed to them that fear him: and his Covenant to give them understanding.

15 Mine eyes are ever toward the Lord: for he will bring my feet out of the net.

16 Turn thy face unto me, and have mercy upon me: for I am desolate and poor.

17 The sorrows of mine heart [m]are enlarged: draw me out of my troubles.

18 Look upon mine affliction and my travail, and forgive all my sins.

19 Behold mine [n]enemies, for they are many, and they hate me with cruel hatred.

20 Keep my soul and deliver me: let me not be confounded: for I trust in thee.

21 Let [o]mine uprightness and equity preserve me; for mine hope is in thee.

22 Deliver Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.

Psalm 9

1 After he had given thanks to God for the sundry victories that he had sent him against his enemies, and also proved by manifold experience, how ready God was at hand in all his troubles. 14 He being now likewise in danger of new enemies, desireth God to help him according to his wont, 17 and to destroy the malicious arrogance of his adversaries.

To him that excelleth upon [a]Muth Labben. A Psalm of David.

I will praise the Lord with my [b]whole heart: I will speak of all thy marvelous works.

I will be glad, and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy Name, O most High.

For that mine enemies are turned back: they shall fall and perish at thy presence.

For [c]thou hast maintained my right and my cause: thou art set in the throne, and judgest right.

Thou hast rebuked the heathen: thou hast destroyed the wicked: thou hast put out their name forever and ever.

[d]O enemy, destructions are come to a perpetual end, and thou hast destroyed the cities: their memorial is perished with them.

But the Lord [e]shall sit forever: he hath prepared his throne for judgment.

For he shall judge the world in righteousness, and shall judge the people with equity.

The Lord also will be a refuge for the [f]poor, a refuge in due time, even in affliction.

10 And they that know thy Name, will trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not failed them that seek thee.

11 Sing praises to the Lord, which dwelleth in Zion: show the people his works.

12 For [g]when he maketh inquisition for blood, he remembereth it, and forgetteth not the complaint of the poor.

13 Have mercy upon me, O Lord: consider my trouble which I suffer of them that hate me, thou that liftest me up from the gates of death,

14 That I may show all thy praises within the [h]gates of the daughter of Zion, and rejoice in thy salvation.

15 The heathen are [i]sunken down in the pit that they made: in the net that they hid, is their foot taken.

16 [j]The Lord is known by executing judgment: the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands, [k]Higgaion. Selah.

17 The wicked shall turn into hell, and all nations that forget God.

18 For the poor shall not be always forgotten: the hope [l]of the afflicted shall not perish forever.

19 Up Lord: let not man prevail: let the heathen be judged in thy sight.

20 Put them in fear, O Lord, that the heathen may know that they are but [m]men. Selah.

Psalm 15

15 1 This Psalm teacheth on what condition God did choose the Jews for his peculiar people; and wherefore he placed his Temple among them, which was to the intent that they by living uprightly and godly, might witness that they were his special and holy people.

A Psalm of David.

Lord, who shall dwell in thy Tabernacle? who shall rest in thine holy Mountain?

He that [a]walketh uprightly and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.

He that slandereth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbor, nor receiveth a false report against his neighbor.

[b]In whose eyes a vile person is contemned, but he honoreth them that fear the Lord: he that sweareth to his own hindrance and changeth not.

He that [c]giveth not his money unto usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent: he that doeth these things, [d]shall never be moved.

Isaiah 44:6-8

Thus saith the Lord the King of Israel and his redeemer, the Lord of hosts, [a]I am the first, and I am the last, and without me is there no God.

And who is like me, that shall [b]call and shall declare it, and set [c]it in order before me, since I appointed the [d]ancient people? and what is at hand, and what things are to come? let [e]them show unto them.

Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee of old, and have declared it? [f]you are even my witnesses, whether there be a God beside me, and that there is no God that I know not.

Isaiah 44:21-23

21 [a]Remember these (O Jacob and Israel) for thou art my servant: I have formed thee; thou art my servant: O Israel forget me not.

22 I have put away thy transgressions like a cloud, and thy sins as a mist; turn unto me, for I have redeemed thee.

23 [b]Rejoice ye heavens; for the Lord hath done it; shout, ye lower parts of the earth; burst forth into praises, ye mountains, O forest and every tree therein: for the Lord hath redeemed Jacob, and will be glorified in Israel.

Ephesians 4:1-16

These three last Chapters contain precepts of manners. 1 He exhorteth them to mutual love. 7 Sundry gifts are therefore bestowed of God, 16 that the Church may be built up. 18 He calleth them from the vanity of infidels, 25 from lying, 29 and from filthy talk.

I therefore, [a]being prisoner in the Lord, pray you that ye walk worthy of the [b]vocation whereunto ye are called,

[c]With all humbleness of mind, and meekness, with [d]long suffering, supporting one another through love,

[e]Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

[f]There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your vocation.

There is one Lord, one Faith, one Baptism.

One God and Father of all, which is [g]above all, and [h]through all, and [i]in you all.

[j]But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the [k]gift of Christ.

Wherefore he saith, When he ascended upon high, he led [l]captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

(Now, in that he ascended, what is it but that he had also descended first into the [m]lowest parts of the earth?

10 He that descended, is even the same that ascended, far above all heavens, that he might [n]fill [o]all things.)

11 [p]He therefore gave some to be [q]Apostles, and some [r]Prophets, and some [s]Evangelists, and some [t]Pastors, and Teachers,

12 [u]For the repairing of the Saints, for the work of the ministry, and for the edification of the [v]body of Christ,

13 [w]Till we all meet together (in the [x]unity of faith and that acknowledging of the Son of God) unto a perfect man, and unto the measure of the [y]age the fullness of Christ,

14 [z]That we henceforth be no more children, [aa]wavering and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the [ab]deceit of men, and with craftiness, whereby they lay in [ac]wait to deceive.

15 [ad]But let us follow the truth in love, and in all things, grow up into him, which is the head, that is, Christ.

16 By whom all the body being coupled and knit together by every joint, for the furniture thereof (according to the [ae]effectual power, which is in the measure of every part) receiveth [af]increase of the body, unto the edifying of itself in [ag]love.

Mark 3:7-19

But Jesus avoided with his disciples to the sea: and a great multitude followed him from Galilee, and from Judea,

And from Jerusalem, and from Idumea, and [a]beyond Jordan: and they that dwelled about Tyre and Sidon, when they had heard what great things he did, came unto him in great number.

And he commanded his disciples, that a little ship should [b]wait for him, because of the multitude, lest they should throng him.

10 For he had healed many, insomuch that they pressed upon him to touch him, as many as had [c]plagues.

11 And when the [d]unclean spirits saw him, they fell down before him, and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God.

12 And he sharply rebuked them, to the end they should not utter him.

13 (A)Then he went up into a mountain, and called unto him whom he would, and they came unto him.

14 [e]And he [f]appointed twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them to preach.

15 And that they might have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils:

16 And the first was Simon, and he named Simon, Peter,

17 Then James the son of Zebedee, and John James’ brother (and surnamed them Boanerges, which is, The sons of thunder.)

18 And Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and [g]Thaddaeus, and Simon the Canaanite,

19 And Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him, and they came [h]home.
