Version
Psalm 24

The King of Glory Entering Zion.

A Psalm of David.

24 The (A)earth is the Lord’s, and [a]all it contains,
The (B)world, and those who dwell in it.
For He has (C)founded it upon the seas
And established it upon the rivers.
Who may (D)ascend into the (E)hill of the Lord?
And who may stand in His holy (F)place?
He who has (G)clean hands and a (H)pure heart,
Who has not (I)lifted up his soul [b]to falsehood
And has not (J)sworn deceitfully.
He shall receive a (K)blessing from the Lord
And [c](L)righteousness from the God of his salvation.
[d]This is the generation of those who (M)seek Him,
Who seek Your face—even Jacob. [e]Selah.

(N)Lift up your heads, O gates,
And be lifted up, O [f]ancient doors,
That the King of (O)glory may come in!
Who is the King of glory?
The Lord (P)strong and mighty,
The Lord (Q)mighty in battle.
Lift up your heads, O gates,
And lift them up, O [g]ancient doors,
That the King of (R)glory may come in!
10 Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of (S)hosts,
He is the King of glory. Selah.

Psalm 29

The Voice of the Lord in the Storm.

A Psalm of David.

29 (A)Ascribe to the Lord, O [a]sons of the mighty,
Ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.
Ascribe to the Lord the glory [b]due to His name;
Worship the Lord (B)in [c]holy array.

The (C)voice of the Lord is upon the waters;
The God of glory (D)thunders,
The Lord is over [d](E)many waters.
The voice of the Lord is (F)powerful,
The voice of the Lord is majestic.
The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars;
Yes, the Lord breaks in pieces (G)the cedars of Lebanon.
He makes Lebanon (H)skip like a calf,
And (I)Sirion like a young wild ox.
The voice of the Lord hews out [e]flames of fire.
The voice of the Lord [f]shakes the wilderness;
The Lord shakes the wilderness of (J)Kadesh.
The voice of the Lord makes (K)the deer to calve
And strips the forests bare;
And (L)in His temple everything says, “Glory!”

10 The Lord sat as King at the (M)flood;
Yes, the Lord sits as (N)King forever.
11 [g]The Lord will give (O)strength to His people;
[h]The Lord will bless His people with (P)peace.

Psalm 103

Praise for the Lord’s Mercies.

A Psalm of David.

103 (A)Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And all that is within me, bless His (B)holy name.
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And (C)forget none of His benefits;
Who (D)pardons all your iniquities,
Who (E)heals all your diseases;
Who (F)redeems your life from the pit,
Who (G)crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion;
Who (H)satisfies your [a]years with good things,
So that your youth is (I)renewed like the eagle.

The Lord (J)performs [b]righteous deeds
And judgments for all who are (K)oppressed.
He (L)made known His ways to Moses,
His (M)acts to the sons of Israel.
The Lord is (N)compassionate and gracious,
(O)Slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness.
He (P)will not always strive with us,
Nor will He (Q)keep His anger forever.
10 He has (R)not dealt with us according to our sins,
Nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
11 For as high (S)as the heavens are above the earth,
So great is His lovingkindness toward those who [c]fear Him.
12 As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He (T)removed our transgressions from us.
13 Just (U)as a father has compassion on his children,
So the Lord has compassion on those who [d]fear Him.
14 For (V)He Himself knows [e]our frame;
He (W)is mindful that we are but (X)dust.

15 As for man, his days are (Y)like grass;
As a (Z)flower of the field, so he flourishes.
16 When the (AA)wind has passed over it, it is no more,
And its (AB)place acknowledges it no longer.
17 But the (AC)lovingkindness of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who [f]fear Him,
And His [g]righteousness (AD)to children’s children,
18 To (AE)those who keep His covenant
And remember His precepts to do them.

19 The Lord has established His (AF)throne in the heavens,
And His [h](AG)sovereignty rules over [i]all.
20 Bless the Lord, you (AH)His angels,
(AI)Mighty in strength, who (AJ)perform His word,
(AK)Obeying the voice of His word!
21 Bless the Lord, all you (AL)His hosts,
You (AM)who serve Him, doing His will.
22 Bless the Lord, (AN)all you works of His,
In all places of His dominion;
Bless the Lord, O my soul!

Zechariah 9:9-12

(A)Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion!
Shout in triumph, O daughter of Jerusalem!
Behold, your (B)king is coming to you;
He is [a](C)just and (D)endowed with salvation,
(E)Humble, and mounted on a donkey,
Even on a (F)colt, the [b]foal of a donkey.
10 I will (G)cut off the chariot from Ephraim
And the (H)horse from Jerusalem;
And the (I)bow of war will be cut off.
And He will speak (J)peace to the nations;
And His (K)dominion will be from sea to sea,
And from the [c]River to the ends of the earth.

Deliverance of Judah and Ephraim

11 As for you also, because of the (L)blood of My covenant with you,
I have set your (M)prisoners free from the [d]waterless pit.
12 Return to the [e](N)stronghold, O prisoners [f]who have the (O)hope;
This very day I am declaring that I will restore (P)double to you.

Zechariah 12:9-11

And in that day I will [a](A)set about to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

10 “I will (B)pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, [b]the Spirit of grace and of supplication, so that they will look on Me whom they have (C)pierced; and they will mourn for Him, as one (D)mourns for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him like the bitter weeping over a firstborn. 11 In that day there will be great (E)mourning in Jerusalem, like the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the [c]plain of [d]Megiddo.

Zechariah 13:1

False Prophets Ashamed

13 “In that day a (A)fountain will be opened for the house of David and for the inhabitants of Jerusalem, for (B)sin and for (C)impurity.

Zechariah 13:7-9

“Awake, O (A)sword, against My (B)Shepherd,
And against the man, My (C)Associate,”
Declares the Lord of hosts.
(D)Strike the Shepherd that the sheep may be scattered;
And I will (E)turn My hand [a]against the little ones.
“It will come about in all the land,”
Declares the Lord,
“That (F)two parts in it will be cut off and perish;
But the third will be left in it.
“And I will bring the third part through the (G)fire,
Refine them as silver is refined,
And test them as gold is tested.
They will (H)call on My name,
And I will (I)answer them;
I will say, ‘They are (J)My people,’
And they will say, ‘The Lord is my God.’”

1 Timothy 6:12-16

12 (A)Fight the good fight of (B)faith; (C)take hold of the eternal life (D)to which you were called, and you made the good (E)confession in the presence of (F)many witnesses. 13 (G)I charge you in the presence of God, who [a]gives life to all things, and of (H)Christ Jesus, who testified the (I)good confession (J)before Pontius Pilate, 14 that you keep the commandment without stain or reproach until the (K)appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 which He will [b]bring about at (L)the proper time—He who is (M)the blessed and (N)only Sovereign, (O)the King of [c]kings and (P)Lord of [d]lords, 16 (Q)who alone possesses immortality and (R)dwells in unapproachable light, (S)whom no man has seen or can see. (T)To Him be honor and eternal dominion! Amen.

Matthew 21:12-17

Cleansing the Temple

12 (A)And Jesus entered the temple and drove out all those who were buying and selling in the temple, and overturned the tables of the (B)money changers and the seats of those who were selling (C)doves. 13 And He *said to them, “It is written, ‘(D)My house shall be called a house of prayer’; but you are making it a (E)robbers[a]den.”

14 And the blind and the lame came to Him in the temple, and (F)He healed them. 15 But when the chief priests and the scribes saw the wonderful things that He had done, and the children who were shouting in the temple, “Hosanna to the (G)Son of David,” they became indignant 16 and said to Him, “Do You hear what these children are saying?” And Jesus *said to them, “Yes; have you never read, ‘(H)Out of the mouth of infants and nursing babies You have prepared praise for Yourself’?” 17 And He left them and went out of the city to (I)Bethany, and spent the night there.
