¹³ “For My people have committed two evils:
They have forsaken Me,
The ^(A)fountain of living waters,
To hew for themselves ^(B)cisterns,
Broken cisterns
That can hold no water.

¹³ O Lord, the ^(A)hope of Israel,
All who ^(B)forsake You will be put to shame.
Those who turn ^[a]away on earth will be ^(C)written down,
Because they have forsaken the fountain of living water, even the Lord.
