Jubilee Bible 2000 (JUB)
Version
Psalm 82

A Psalm of Asaph.

¶ God stands in the congregation of the mighty; he judges among the gods.

How long will ye judge unjustly and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.

Do right concerning the poor and fatherless; do justice to the poor and destitute.

Deliver the poor and destitute; deliver them out of the hand of the wicked.

They do not know, neither do they understand; they walk in darkness; they move all the foundations of the earth.

¶ I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are sons of the most High.

But ye shall die like men and fall like one of the tyrants.

Arise, O God, judge the earth, for thou shalt inherit all the Gentiles.

Psalm 87

A Psalm or Song for the sons of Korah.

¶ His foundation is in mountains of holiness.

The LORD loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.

Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God. Selah.

¶ I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon to those that know me; behold Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia; this one was born there.

And of Zion it shall be said, This and that man were born in her; and the highest himself shall establish her.

The LORD shall count when he writes up the peoples that this one was born there. Selah.

And singers and players on instruments in her shall say: all my springs are in thee.

Isaiah 52:7-12

¶ How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that brings good tidings, that publishes peace, that brings good tidings of good, that publishes saving health, that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigns!

The voice of thy watchmen! They shall lift up the voice; together they shall rejoice: for they shall see eye to eye, how the LORD shall return to bring again Zion.

Sing praises, rejoice together, ye waste places of Jerusalem: for the LORD has comforted his people, he has redeemed Jerusalem.

10 The LORD has made bare the arm of his holiness before the eyes of all the Gentiles; and all the ends of the earth shall see the saving health of our God.

11 Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from there, touch no unclean thing; go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the LORD.

12 For ye shall not go out with haste, nor go by flight: for the LORD will go before you; and the God of Israel will gather you together.

Hebrews 2:5-10

¶ For unto the angels he has not subjected the world to come, of which we speak.

But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou dost visit him?

Thou didst make him a little lower than the angels; thou didst crown him with glory and honour and didst set him over the works of thy hands.

Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we do not see yet that all things are put under him.

But we see this same Jesus, crowned with glory and honour, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

10 ¶ For it was expedient that he, for whom are all things and by whom are all things, preparing to bring forth many sons in his glory, should perfect the author of their saving health through sufferings.

Psalm 110

A Psalm of David.

¶ The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion; rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.

Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauty of holiness; as the dew which falls from the womb of the morning, thus shall those who are thine be born unto thee.

The LORD has sworn and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.

¶ The Lord at thy right hand shall smite the kings in the day of his wrath.

He shall judge among the Gentiles; he shall fill their places with dead bodies; he shall wound the head over much of the earth.

He shall drink of the brook in the way; therefore he shall lift up his head.

Psalm 132

¶ A Song of degrees.

LORD, remember David and all his afflictions:

How he swore unto the LORD and vowed unto the mighty God of Jacob;

surely I will not come into the habitation of my house nor go up into my bed,

I will not give sleep to my eyes or slumber to my eyelids,

until I find out a place for the LORD, a habitation for the mighty God of Jacob.

Behold, we heard of her in Ephratah; we found her in the fields of the wood.

We will go into his tents; we will worship at his footstool.

Arise, O LORD, into thy rest; thou, and the ark of thy strength.

Thy priests are clothed with righteousness, and thy merciful ones shout for joy.

10 For the love of thy slave David, do not turn away thy face from thine anointed.

11 ¶ The LORD has sworn truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body I will set upon thy throne.

12 If thy sons will keep my covenant and my testimony that I shall teach them, their sons shall also sit upon thy throne for ever.

13 For the LORD has chosen Zion; he has desired her for his habitation.

14 This shall be my rest for ever; here I will dwell; for I have desired her.

15 I will abundantly bless her provision; I will satisfy her poor with bread.

16 I will also clothe her priests with saving health, and her merciful ones shall shout aloud for joy.

17 There will I make the horn of David to bud; I have ordained a lamp for my anointed.

18 His enemies I will clothe with shame, but upon himself shall his crown blossom.

John 1:9-14

That Word was the true Light, which lightens every man that comes into this world.

10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become sons of God, even to them that believe on his name,

13 who are not born of blood, nor of the will of flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

14 And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father), full of grace and truth.
